Worst service ever !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very Old hotel with a Very Rude Indian Reception Manager. Just kept on gossiping his personal issue without paying attention to the guests.. We booked 3 room through Hotel.com but he find out only 2 rooms .. Another one he couldnt provide.. Even rooms were not ready even after 2 hrs of proper the check in time .. We just left this disgusting hotel .

Just say no! Don't do it!

We were desperate for a place to stay, since it was already 8pm. Knowing that we had to be on the road by 7am, we chose a cheaper place. We were expecting 'no frills' but did not expect grungy, smelly and loud. This place caters to tour groups, so I guess they don't care about the stained cloth chairs in the room, of that the entire hotel smells of old Chinese food. Breakfast was scheduled to open at 7, but when the dining room and front desk were both still dark at 7, we rang the desk bell. Apparently that woke up the kid who set up breakfast. I will compliment him on his ability to put everything out within a few minutes, but we shouldn't have had to wait until 7:15 to get some breakfast.

First visit to Interlaken

Carpet on floor 3 needs replaced. Curtains in room did not cover windows completely. Desk clerk had to stay over because of my late arrival at 9:30 pm. The price of the room was good. Breakfast was very good. Size of room was too small and bathroom was much too little.

Ok hotel

This hotel was clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was very very small. It was in a nice central location to all the pretty tourist shops and resturants though, so it was pretty good for the money compared to the other hotels in town.

Worst hotel ever

This is an example of what hospitality is NOT about. Everything is wrong with this place, no sense of service, poor maintenance, dirty rooms, old and unsanitary beds, saggy mattresses, cheap breakfast, and it goes on. The ownership just does not care. EXPEDIA should not feature this horrible location.

Expensive for little value

Interlaken is an expensive city. Hotel's can offer very little and charge a lot. The room was small, dated, tiny elevator, no AC. Breakfast was poor. In the the future I would bite the bullet and pay up for better.

Good location

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Harder Minerva hotel. The gentleman who owns the hotel was very pleasant and helpful. We found all the staff very helpful. The cleanliness of the room was okay, however, the cleaners did forget to fill the supplies of soap, shampoo on a couple of occasions. I think the beds need to be replaced and also the pillows, (pretty flat!!!). The hotel is a very old hotel, but it does have a lot of character. Overall the hotel was fine, good location and within walking distance to the shops and public transport.

perfect for young travelers

great location and although the room was small, the mom and pop feel was nice. we spent most of our time outside of the hotel anyway doing fun sight seeing and adventure sports so the hotel atmosphere was not critical to our stay. very pleasant though!

Disappointing!

I was disappointed with this hotel and would definitely not recommend it. It's overpriced considering it's in need of renovation. The furniture and fittings are outdated. We arrived at the hotel at 2pm and the hotel was locked. A guest let us in and we had to wait at Reception for around 30 minutes until a kind man, who may have been a postman, came along and located the landlady for us. The landlady offered no explanation/apology and seemed annoyed that another guest had let us in. Apparently, she would have preferred we stand outside in the hot midday sun.
