We were in town for just one night, before an event at the Hot Springs Convention Center. All of the hotels I normally stay at (Hilton, Marriott) were booked solid. This one looked nice online and seemed to have good reviews, so I decided to give it a shot.
My son and I arrived late; a little after 11:00 pm. I don't normally comment on staff because I understand that everyone has a bad day, etc. But I feel I would be remiss if I didn't mention that when we checked in, to put it bluntly it just smelled awful. I honestly don't know if the bad odor was coming from the staff member that checked us in, or something else..but it was REALLY BAD. The check-in person was not very friendly; just kept reiterating, loudly, that there would be a $250 fine if we were caught smoking. I'm like ok great, I am very anti-smoking 😂 but ok I gotcha!
The level of professionalism during the check-in process was not up to par with what I typically experience elsewhere.
The room was small but clean. The only toiletries available were the body wash, shampoo and conditioner that were in the shower. There was no lotion or tissues.
Fitness center: has a cable machine with a bar attachment, a treadmill and a stationary bike.
Breakfast: tiny room, extremely crowded. Milk machine broken; community containers of half and half and milk/juice in a mini fridge; questionable on whether or not it was being cooled appropriately. No fresh fruit. No yogurt. Trash overflowing. We opted to not eat there.
