Staff were all great. April and Ashley in the lobby bar were very friendly and informative about local things. Furnishings in the room were nice, however the room was in serious need of renovations. The heat and air were not functioning properly. To be fair, we failed to tell them upon checkout. There were 2 tissues in the box in the bathroom. Not ideal. The tub looked like it needed a DEEP clean. It probably needed to have the porcelain redone. Overall, i would definitely stay there again. I would recommend this hotel.

Great stay at a great hotel and spa! Love staying there and enjoyed the character and service there! Can’t wait to see the renovations of the rooms! Loved the breakfast buffet!

The room was not in good condition. The bathroom was old and the fixtures didn't work. The carpet was old, musty and in poor condition. The staff was nice and the lobby was beautiful.

Convenient but in need of repair

Great location for downtown, visiting Hot Sorings Park, Bathhouse Row- we were able to walk everywhere- Unfortunately this once grand hotel has not been kept up… lobby and bar area nice but rooms and hallways in poor shape- carpet in our bedroom badly stained and bathroom needed update but appeared clean - They charged a daily ‘resort’ fee but unclear what it was for - they said daily coffee/water in room but this was not replenished- pool too cold(early March) but we did use hot tub one night… Overall our stay was ‘ok’ due to it being only a short one and convenience of not having to drive - just very sad to let such a beautiful historical property fall into disrepair…

This hotel can be summed up in two ways: 1) Old historic hotel and all the pros/cons that goes with that; and 2) Gracious service. The Pros: This is a very old hotel that had recently undergone significant renovation on the outside and common areas like the lobby. The lobby is a fun spot to enjoy a drink in the evening. We met very nice people and the bands that play on the weekend are great. There’s a Starbucks coffee bar on the side of the lobby, which is very convenient, but there’s no signage, so it’s easy to miss. The food was very good at a very reasonable price. The fried chicken is among the best I’ve had. They are pet friendly and there’s a park conveniently across the street for potty breaks. The bath house staff are so friendly and skilled. My massage was among the best I’ve had - even among those that cost 3 times more. Whenever we had an issue, the staff resolved it immediately with graciousness. Cons: This is a very old hotel. The upside of old hotels: Beautiful art deco touches, brass elevators, real marble floors, a glimpse of how people lived 100 years ago. Very reasonably priced. The downside of old hotels: Not all rooms have been rehabbed. There is peeling paint and old carpet and chipped bath tubs and tiles. The bath house is in very rough condition. The pros, and the price in particular, make up for the cons. I would definitely recommend for not-picky people. If you expect perfection, this is not the place for you.

We used to love to come to the Arrington had been many times before. This time there were alot of hidden fees and charges made to my credit card that i was not informed of. They tried to charge $50 saying i didn't check out in time when i did and have the receipt as proof. Parking was horrible, we had to use the parking garage down the street and it was stupid expensive for 2 days!

Very run down loud construction at all hours in the hotel on our floor even! Property cleanliness neglected! Hot tub never usable or stocked outside bathroom always locked. Valet and front desk customer service amazing! Love the vintage but definitely needs better house keeping and maintenance
