Honokaa Holiday Packages

The Outrigger is surrounded by beautiful gardens and a superb Seaview. We enjoyed walking around the gardens. The pools are lovely however, we did not get to use much as out all day, every day during our stay. The bed in our room was super soft and the pillows are practically flat! I asked at reception if beds are the same in every room (even top $ rooms) and was advised they are. Both my husband and I woke with lower back pain every day. (& this is NOT usual) The toilets need upgrading as antiquated. For the money you pay one would expect a decent bed & pillows! A microwave in each room would be very helpful. The 9pm closing time in the dining room was too early for our liking. I would recommend 10pm at least. Each time I passed reception there was only one person on and for a hotel this large I think at least two customer service people should be on duty at all times. The wait to speak to someone equated to poor customer service in my book. Our biggest gripe was the most uncomfortable bed and pillows and for this reason I would never stay at this resort again. Sorry.

The building is starting to look a little dated, but the rooms were well appointed. Wifi speed excellent. Car parking easy to access. We had a water leak one night in our room and management dealt with it very promptly, got it repaired and offered a small compensation.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, was excellent value for the price we paid. Big unit that had a nice private landed property/bungalow feel, two bathrooms, TV in each room and fully equipped kitchen (even with a rice cooker!). Great cooling system, always had a comfortable temperature. Glad we had onsite parking without extra cost, and was a convenient distance from Waikoloa plaza which had great food options even late at night. Provided ample towels and even though there’s no daily cleaning service, it wasn’t necessary and it was a very comfortable stay overall. I wish we had time to stay longer and try the pool! Quiet and peaceful surroundings.
