Hotel was convenient for us we booked on day but found out on arrival the lift was broken so we had to take our luggage upstairs and our room was right at the end of a long corridor plus we booked a double room to find that 2 single beds were pushed together and no zip to keep together luckily we didn’t end up between the beds hahahaha

Was all okay until the radiator in the room switched on full and wouldn’t turn off. Call reception and they said they would send someone to have a look but the person never turned up. Called again and they never picked up. Went to reception and asked for a new room and was told that wasn’t possible and someone would come to the room to have a look and will bring a fan. Again no one turned up. Went back to reception and again asked for a new room. They agreed and the room was fine with no issues. Unfortunately not a great night sleep for a long following drive.

Lots of issues throughout the trip. Allocated a room directly above the Function room. You could hear every song, every word, everything. Until 12.30am. Then had to be up at 6am the next morning. Several phone calls made to front desk. Told it would finish at 11.30 - it was 12.30. Assured there was no function the next night - there was. Told they had no more rooms available and they were fully booked. However, I could go in their website and it showed availability. They reluctantly moved us the next day to a room away from the function room, which solved the problem of noise. Our biggest problem throughout the week, was the lift constantly being out of order. I’m registered disabled. I struggle with stairs. Not a problem when there’s a lift - a big problem when there’s not. Biggest problem was checking out this morning - from the 3rd floor, with a week’s worth of kit (including a lot of outdoor walking / kayaking kit from my husband!) No lift, and a lot of bags to carry down 2 flights of stairs. Then me to help down. We tried to get help from the front desk - no one answered the phone. No one was at the front desk for the whole half an hour it took to load the car up. A manager eventually turned up at 6.50am to enable us to check out. Not once did we manage to get a Disabled space out the front of the hotel due to the spaces being parked in by non badge holders. Sadly our special anniversary trip away, was tainted by the hotel.

Not staying here again

On booking in I was told the was an event but the noise wouldn’t be heard from my room. What they never said was the lift was faulty and every time it was used a loud hum emanates through the building meaning very little sleep was had. The room itself was dated, and the furnishings had damaged trim, with the bedside shelving wobbly and not secure. There is no safe facility or cooler in the rooms which was a let down and so Tho g I have not experienced in a hotel since the 90s. In addition to this the breakfast was overly greasy and cold. The fitness suite was well equipped but told the pool was open till 8, so got there for 7:15, only to be told it closes at 7:30 every night

From arrival to departure. we have found a lovely Hotel. thank you all the staff. Arrived early morning. parked the car. went for a walk from behind the hotel along the river then the Canal to the sea and back . then into the room and then a swim and Sauna. at night into the town which was not far. we will stay again.

Worst experience with Holidays inn ever

Double bed is a single bed and we couldn’t sleep. Bathroom basin blocked , shower head loose couldn’t let us shower as water splashes everywhere. Wouldn’t stay here as it’s waste of money I think it’s fake holidays inn as Holidays inn I know are lot better. Thanks

Lovely little play area outside and play area inside to keep kids entertained for a little while, nice size rooms and all very clean. Close to Lancaster town centre beautiful area

Stuffy room, tiny bed and an awful squeaking noise that occurred every minute. We left at 22:30.unbearable.
