Away break

The hotel was clean and also the rooms. Staff very helpful. Breakfasts plenty of choice. Free car parking. Can get a bus outside the hotel into Lancaster which we did. Would recommend it.

We were not able to use the indoor pool as they introduced a rule of booking the pool for 30 minutes at "Health Centre Desk". There was no staff available to take the bookings and when became available there was no booking left for the pool through out the 3 days of our stay. Breakfast time was horrible, long queues, waiting for ages and miss management. The manager was quite dismissive of everything and was confrontational when complained. Terrible experience. Never again!

The hotel suited our needs as an overnight stay to break the journey to Southampton. We arrived at 21.15 the reception was still open and manned and quick to serve us, the car parking register was at the counter. Room was fine and the hotel was still serving bar food up to 21.45 which was useful. We did not have breakfast so no comment on that.

Excellent breakfast. Property a bit tired, but with a renovated bathroom. No fridge (I was surprised), but with a kettle. Arrived to find a connecting door which worried me, but while then hotel was full of families, I did not hear noise from nearby rooms, just the outside corridor. Worked OK.
