Beautiful location on the edge of the Hokianga overlooking the sand dunes. The hotel had a real tropical resort feel. We had an upstairs room overlooking the beach and sat on our balcony with a wine watching a lovely sunset before having a nice meal in the restaurant. We fell asleep and then woke to the sounds of gentle waves lapping in the shore. Definitely would stay there for longer if we are back that way.
Reportedly the oldest inhabited area of New Zealand, Hokianga lies 3 hours north of Auckland. Use our range of Hokianga accommodation to explore all that the region has to offer; and in the case of Hokianga, that certainly is an extensive list.
Just some of the activities on offer in the area include: sandboarding, bush-walking, untamed beaches, fishing, surfing, horse riding and much, much more… even cheese rolling is a pastime (in the case of the Waimamaku Festival!)
With our great deals on Hokianga accommodation, all of this is within your reach!
