Lovely hotel and very friendly staff. Its annoying that they don't provide daily housekeeping etc. sheets dont need to be changed but I expect a hotel to clean the bathroom and make the bed.

TAOYA Kisoji
It is a big hotel with lounge, fireplace and a large reception waiting area. Staff were friendly and onsens good! The buffet breakfast and dinner were great; with local selection as well as western. If you like to drink, there are beers, sake and wine too.

The RYOKAN O
Absolutely wonderful. This is a great starting point or basecamp if you plan to walk the Nakasendo. Staff is great. Foreigners welcomed. 10/10
