Great Location

The best thing about this house is the location. 3 min walk to the beach! Cleaning crew did a great job- house was very clean. The owners seem to be renovating in stages. Most of the common areas, and some bathrooms, have been nicely renovated. Otherwise, expect some old carpet in the bedrooms, a leaky, smelly garage, exterior work that is overdue, and pool coping that has chunks missing. The management company, Sea Turtle Getaways, Selena and Dakota, were wonderful to work with. They were very responsive before and during our trip. Thank you!

Fabulous Family Fun!

This is our 2nd time staying in this home. Everyone absolutely loved it! It is close enough to the beach for my 80yr old parents to easily participate in beach fun. Bike rentals made it fun for our teenagers to explore. Quiet enough for all of us to enjoy!

Overall great, carpeting needs to be replaced and a few cabinets replaced in the kitchen.

Great Property and Location

The property manager was great to work with, always answering our questions and concerns within hours. The property was exactly as pictured. Great neighborhood, access to the beach and private pool/spa. Just about every kind of dish and appliance was available in the kitchen and clothes washer/dryer worked great. This was an ideal setting for a multi family vacation! We did have one maintenance concern during our stay, which left the upstairs showers unusable for more than half our stay. The property manager did contact a plumber but given it was the week between Christmas and New Year it took longer than normal for them to respond. Overall it was not a bad experience, just inconvenient. Something that could not have been predicted. We highly recommend this property!

Great Stay at 5 High Rigger

Amazing location (30-second walk to beach) in Palmetto Dunes. Kroger, Whole Foods, Starbucks, HH Social Bakery, and lots of mini-golf options just minutes from the entrance to PD. House was spacious, with large kitchen, dining area, and great room. All of the bedrooms and bathrooms are generously-sized. Large pool and spa/hot tub round out the ideal vacation home. Management company owner uses was extremely responsive to our questions.

Favorite HHI home!

Our family has been going to HHI for about 30 yrs & this home was our absolute favorite vacation stay! It accommodated everyone from 8yrs old to 78yrs old. Everyone was comfortable & enjoyed themselves! Thank you for such a great vacation stay!

Great getaway

Wonderful location with easy access to beach and close proximity to Kroger and Whole Foods. We had an excellent stay. Mattress in master bedroom on first floor could be updated, but the rest of the house was great. Prime spot for a happy time.

Private Beach Oasis with the Family

We just spent an idyllic week at 5 High Rigger, and it was the perfect getaway for our family of 6. The home is exactly as pictured (pool is a bit smaller than the image, but still very nice size with plenty of room). The open floor plan, large kitchen, smart TV's, and bathroom for every bedroom made everyone incredibly comfortable. We brought the grandparents and our two school-age children and really appreciated the proximity to the ocean. It was literally steps away from the ocean. Even though it is the second row, there was barely a difference in distance between this house and the oceanfront options. The grandparents have knee problems and were able to walk easily back and forth between the beach and home (We used the lifeguard service to set up beach umbrellas and chairs for the week which they loved and was well worth it). Each day, we walked out to the gorgeous private beach which felt like we had it to ourselves. There is a ramp instead of stairs at the end of the boardwalk (I suppose to make it wheelchair accessible). It was slightly steep for someone with bad knees and sandy, so I had to assist my mother so she did not slip. She said she was fine as long as she went slow, but I mention this just so guests with knee or hip issues are aware. It was not an issue otherwise. The neighborhood itself is absolutely beautiful with charming architecture and natural landscaping--plus plenty of bike trails. Every time I visit the island of Hilton Head, I appreciate how it is not overdeveloped, and very conscientious about the natural environment. We attended a loggerhead turtle talk, rode our bikes on the beach, went on a dolphin and tube tour (and saw dolphins!), and the children enjoyed finding sand dollars, sea stars, and small fish along the tidepools. The water was calm and lovely--I already want to go back and would stay at this home again. I also want to note that the property management company is very responsive and friendly. I could tell the pool was serviced before we arrived, but not thoroughly cleaned of sand. They scheduled a cleaning immediately and were accomodating/friendly.
