The staff was the only saving grace and they were grossly understaffed. We had to switch rooms due to cockroaches and were left behind by the complimentary shuttle service off site because the drivers did not want to stay at work. Great location, staff is not treated correctly by management despite their efforts, and Hilton needs to start to invest in these types of locations where expectations are more than it is an "OK" place to stay.

We checked in for a 5 night stay on Wednesday. When we checked in, the safe in our room was locked closed so we could not use it. We notified Guest Services and they sent engineers who messed with the safe for a while but couldn’t fix it and left. Two days later we notified management again that the safe was locked closed and they sent another engineer to give us a new safe - so from Wednesday through Friday we had no in-room safe. The hotel gave us a $100.00 credit. Then when we checked in we put some carbonated drinks in the refrigerator and it froze them all and the cans exploded. We complained and they gave us a new refrigerator after we had been in the room for three days. The second night, when the maid made up the room she did not give us fresh towels and she took the used towels, so we didn’t have towels. The hotel is in a great location, but the management is just not up to snuff - I suggest you stay somewhere else when visiting Hilton Head Island.

Not a good experience. We originally had a room with a partial ocean view. But when we checked in, we were "upgraded" to a suite that overlooks a metal roof. No ocean, no trees. Then the TVs wouldn't work so we contacted the the customer service two different times. Nobody ever fixed the TVs. When the fan came on in the room a bunch of white stuff blew out of the vent in the bedroom and it looked like snow all over our floor. We talked to a couple of housekeepers to see if they could clean it up but nobody did. Then we had the air set on low but it never really cooled off in the room.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel was quiet and beds were comfortable. The hotel is a bit dated and needs some work especially in the bathrooms. Great overall stay. Can’t beat the view and location, but the staff and breakfast were great as well! The only downside was the plumbing inside the room- that definitely needs attention.

Great location, easy check in, additional local tax due to property location, indoor pool is nice, jacuzzis are too hot at 104 degrees, bar offers good drinks and food options.
