We booked through Expedia and the staff could not locate my reservation even though I had a booking number and showed them (my other friend booked through Expedia also, but hers was able to be found). The nice young lady at reception gave us a wonderful room and was very helpful. I wish we stayed more than one night, the room was beautiful and comfortable. The bus/tram station was a 2 minute walk across the street. We utilized their luggage space, which was convenient but I did not like that they just allowed us to put our own luggage in there and it wasn't locked, so anyone could go in an claim someone else's luggage.

Central location but poor service from staff

We made a booking for two people but the room was made up for only one person, with only a single pillow and a single towel. The staff at the front desk were either unavailable, or when they were available, unable to assist with the request to provide the extra linen. We also used the telephone in the room to call reception but it was not answered. The room itself was spacious and clean though, and the central location of the hotel is good for visiting the town on foot.

Situated at the end of the pedestrian zone - very convenient and walkable. The staff was friendly and helpful, parking was also fairly close by. The room was large, modern, clean and quiet. We enjoyed our time in Heidelberg and would certainly stay here again!

Would stay again. But on a lower floor

Nice and clean. Helpful staff. Quiet atmosphere. Fine room. Close to everything. We enjoyed our stay. Terrible fire escape options on the 5th floor: you need to climb through a window one meter above the floor, take two steps on the roof to find an iron ladder with very narrow steps. Am not sure this meets the regulations from the fire department. Ask for a room on the 2nd or 3rd floor.

The hotel itself I can’t fault the rooms are very spacious the staff are very sweet and helpful. However the hotel is just outside the tram station which is extremely convenient but means it’s very loud and as the hotel has no air con it’s lots a bit of a problem. The area again so very easy to get to places as it’s so central but be wary of some of the people as I was followed in town to the hotel.

I did a reservation at the Bayerischer Hof hotel but when I arrived there I was sent to the Denner Hotel, another building one block away. The WiFi signal was so slow

Weil es keine Klimaanlage gibt, wäre es gut einen Ventilator im Zimmer zu haben. Jener der im Zimmer war, war zwar gross, aber viel zu Laut um diesen in der Nacht laufen zu lassen. Daher war das Zimmer ungemütlich warm, was den Schlaf beeinträchtigte.
