This place is a real gem. Yes there are bits that are a little tired but aren’t there in all hotels. However it is clean and charming right from Trudy in house keeping to Michelle at the bar with her fabulous rum tasting. Drinks are named brands and delivers with a smile. The restaurant is al a carte all meals and the staff are charming attentive and well trained to the extent that they serve from the left and clear from the right! Wasted on half the clientele who cannot read a dress code. The food is a mix of Bajan and international full of flavour and delightful. If there is something you require ask don’t moan! If you are looking for sausage beans and chips don’t come here you’re not going to get it. The pool is small however you are five yards from the beach and the beautiful Caribbean Sea which is warm and calm why come all this way and sit by a pool? Maintenance will also erect a parasol for you on the beach all you have to do is ask, sunbeds a plenty on the beach. This is without doubt one of the best holidays we’ve had, from all round the world and fifth visit to Barbados. Relaxed and recharged ready to earn some more money to return.

Overall. I had a great stay. The staff was excellent especially the housekeeper and one lady at the desk (very accommodating) the food was excellent. No disappointment there.

Restroom toilet smelled horrible. Like they never deep clean it. Rats by the bushes by pool. Heater did not work many times in the shower. The food was the same almost every day. Big cockroach in the restroom ! Some staff were so rude the host lady at dining room was so rude and no smile at all. Most of the severs were polite. I would NOT NOT AND NOT recommend this place.

Its a quaint and quiet property. Its the staff thst truly makes this establishment wonderful....shout-out to Shaniqua at the front desk who assisted us in GREAT fashion with an unexpected injury.....Shane & Zac (world's best bartenders) and Ms Trudy who made sure our room was very clean and comfortable!

There are no elevators at this hotel so be prepared to carry your luggage up to whatever floor your room is on. There is only one restaurant and there is scheduled times for breakfast, lunch and you have to make reservations for dinner. The beach is very small but there are bigger public beaches about a mile down the road. The boardwalk is not lit up at night so I wouldn’t risk trying to walk down it. The staff was very nice. The alcohol is included and the boardwalk sunset is a must on the menu. The buses you have to take to go anywhere drive EXTREMELY fast so make sure you’re holding on to something when you get in. You will hear them blowing the horns at all hours day and night. Their horns do not sound like our horns in the US and at first we thought there were elephants somewhere around. Overall we did have a good time and the hotel was nice as well as the staff. I would have preferred for there to be more than one restaurant tho. The food was good - just limited on times of when you can eat.

The location is right on a beautiful stretch of beach/boardwalk. I loved waking up each morning to the sound of the ocean and stepping out on the balcony with a breathtaking view. The staff made the experience unforgettable. Everyone from Lila at the front desk to the restaurant team, Clive, Samantha, Angel and Shaquila, was genuinely kind, attentive, and always had a smile. They went out of their way to make me feel welcome and cared for throughout my stay. Trudi in housekeeping was also amazing! The food was always fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented and the vibe at The Soco is intimate and relaxed, perfect for couples. It never felt crowded or overwhelming, and I loved the peaceful atmosphere. If you're looking for a boutique hotel in Barbados that delivers comfort, charm, and an unforgettable Caribbean experience, The Soco Hotel is a gem. I can’t wait to return!

Tech challenge but very nice hotel

Nice quiet boutique hotel. Very clean. Rooms very spacious and staff are lovely. The rooms are electrically challenged with no usb charging points and no plugs at the bed side. Also reading lamps are too bright to turn on and hence I leave off not to disturb my partner who is sleeping while I want to read. Major downfall. Nice pool deck and fantastic sunset views.

This was absolutely a terrible trip my first time being out of the country. I thought this would have been fun, exciting and a newfound experience I would enjoy, however not only was a description given by Expedia wrong. I got very sick due to the poor cleaning conditions of the property and also them having animals on the property that was not described. this caused me a huge inconvenience and made me sick as I am allergic to cats. I will go into detail via email to further discuss this issue and how we can reconcile this.
