The Hamoa Bay Bungalow is HANA MAU'Is most charming vacation hide-away. Balinese inspired, private, with partial ocean views, secluded and romantic.

Just beyond sleepy Hana Town... this property is tucked in amongst lush ferns, banana trees, bamboo, colorful heliconias, fragrant ginger, papaya, century old trees, and manicured gardens. Enjoy sea views from the verandah. Listen to only the sounds of the birds, the geckos chirping, and the stones rolling in the surf at night.

'Jungle romance.' Bordered by ancient rock walls, this Bungalow, architect designed, Balinese inspired, is the perfect quiet hide-away for two. Indulging yourself means a languid afternoon sprawled on the giant bamboo bed amid the perfume of jasmine and ginger blossoms, a soak in the built-in tub for two on the screened verandah, looking out to sea and jungle views.
Treat yourself to a shower in your private lava rock enclosed outside shower in the garden (we do have indoor shower as well). Hammock, barbecue, lush, manicured private gardens are also provided for your pleasure. If contact with the outside world should become necessary, phone, Wifi, and TV are available.

The tropical ecosystem does consist of geckos, non venomous spiders, wasps, mosquitoes, centipedes, and a variety of other insects. Yes, they do sometimes find their way into the cottage, especially the geckos. We do have monthly pest service and are diligent with catching them. They are harmless and eat insects. If you have any concerns about them or perhaps encountering any of these creatures.....PLEASE DO NOT BOOK!

This place was magical! So unique and full of character and very Hawaiian decor and feel. Very cool antiques, fresh flowers were stunning, the outdoor shower was amazing. The jetted tub on the deck overlooking the ocean - very sweet. The lighting and hammock under the house was inviting too! Wished we had longer to enjoy this unique property

I love spending time here. This is such a wonderful place to stay if you want to get away. It was our 2nd time, and we loved every minute of it. Including the rain. Manager was very helpful. The house was stocked with everything you need.

We LOVED this rental!! Highly recommend it. It feels private and very lush and Hawaiian yet it is also so close to Hamoa Beach, which we also loved. This bungalow is beautifully and very tastefully decorated and has a great kitchen setup. Fresh fruit on the property and it is well-manicured and very clean. And the amazing outdoor shower was another favorite!! Rent this bungalow!!

It was a very nice place to stay for our one night in Hana. This was our 2nd time on Maui and decided to make Hana a two day excursion. We did the back road to Hana again and beat all the traffic. Left our loud and crowded Kannapali hotel at 6AM and found ourselves soon driving in quiet Up Country and then onto volcanic desert like landscape when at times not even seeing another car for 30mins. In coming we drive from the volcanic landscape into jungle. Hung out at Hamoa beach for a sec and at a late lunch at Huli Huli chicken. It was still early for check in so we went and spent time at the red sand beach in town until check in. The instructions on how to get there are spot on except for which property. The bungalow is the left side when you pull in. This place was nice and quiet tucked in the jungle away from crowds/noise. Beach view isn’t much, but we’d had 20days of oceanfront on this vaca already. I very much enjoyed the hammock downstairs w a glass of bourbon, cigar, hearing the jungle sounds and distant ocean crashing. The house itself is basic. You can cook, but hey you’re on vaca and there are a lot of food trucks 2miles into town to choose from. The property is amazing. Take time to walk around and look at all the fruit trees, the banyan tree, bamboo clusters and the cool “guardian?” Statues at the entrance. Be advised there are mosquitos and bring spray I would definitely choose this property again over any other in the area I viewed.

Exactly as described in the pictures and the title. Stunning place and surroundings. Loads of communication about how to get there etc and the property itself has everything you could possibly need. We spent a lot of time just Sat on the balcony taking it all in or exploring the amazing road to Hana. It also has a gorgeous beach 10min walk away.. This place is a piece of paradise within paradise.

Enjoyed our stay in the bungalow, and we may rent the house next time. Perfect location for Hana and Hamoa Beach. It rained the last couple days we were there, which made the lanai and jacuzzi feel like you are in the jungle. There’s a couple of avacado trees on the property that aren’t in season in September. We would definitely stay here again.

What an incredible zen oasis! We stayed the night in Hana and chose this property based on reviews, and it was even more than we expected. The grounds are immaculate and gorgeous, and the unit is clean, comfortable and the perfect place for a romantic getaway. We loved the screened lanai with jetted tub, comfortable bed, outdoor shower, and amazing sitting area. We would definitely stay here again!!

My husband and I stayed here during the road to Hāna for 2 nights. If you didn’t see enough colorful flowers and plants during your drive, here you’ll see them up close and personal in your own secluded bungalow. I loved the walk to Hāmoa beach, the property has the perfect beach chairs that you can backpack. This was a magical stay, thank you!

Privacy in paradise :)

We loved it here. I'm a gardener & therefore adored looking at all the plants. We spent most of our time reading together on the screened-in lanai. I made every excuse to take multiple showers in the outdoor-one: it felt very Brooke-Shields-in-the-Blue-Lagoon (if they'd had a shower--but you know what I mean). Beautiful, evocative touches throughout. The mosquito netting over the bed was somewhat difficult to negotiate, but no biggie.
