The state was horrible. The staff is unfriendly and unprofessional. They have no concept of how to run a hotel management. Things that they can never be wrong and that there is no improvement needed. They couldn't even check me in without telling me that I still owed. My fees for the room while I showed them the receipt from hotels.com that I had already paid that embarrassed me in the lobby on numerous occasions about this. The whole hotel staff are haters if they think you have something. Or speak more intelligent or clearer than they do that.They have a chip on their shoulder

The staff was polite, professional and helpful, however the cleanliness of my room, although not terrible, did not meet my satisfaction. There was hair on the toliet when I arrived. The remote was grimy. The desk and dresser had small spots, like splashes of a drink, for example and the shower had mildew. And I'm not too sure about the bedding. I usually clean and disinfect my room when I arrive, but this time, I seriously consideredchecking out early. Although management did make an effort to make my stay more comfortable. I will never stay there again.

Odd when we arrived that room we were given could not be opened completely as security bar was engaged. Front desk did change our room rather than make us wait until could be opened. New room was surprisingly large but not the cleanest looking furniture. Bathroom showerhead had pink slime. Would not return.

We had breakfast 8/16/25. Delicious, fresh, and hot. The coffee was fresh,hot as well. I would recommend this place to anyone. The updated room was very nice.

Cleanliness could have been better. We had some weird brownish goop outside in the hallway near our door, the toilet had a yellowish residue on the base of the commode. I have no idea if it was at related to the diarrhea looking spot outside our door. But I was grossed out. That same yellow residue was also on one of the bath towels. I went down to the front desk and asked for another room. However, no other room was available and the option he gave me was to cancel and book somewhere else (hard to do at midnight when you've already been on the road for hours!) or maybe some rewards points towards next stay (which won't be happening). When I asked if someone could be went up to clean the suspicious gunk, that was also not possible. Upsetting experience cuz I was so grossed out the whole time.

There was a large bag of trash on the floor in front of the third floor elevators our entire stay. Housekeeping obviously put it there and forgot about it. Also, 2/2 treadmills out of order. Ice machine out of order. Breakfast was absolutely terrible. By far the worst in my 5 days of traveling cross country. Where are the scrambled eggs? So simple.

Great location and clean-modern hotel

This hotel cost is fraction of those in downtown Chicago. It is also conveniently located between Michigan and Chicago. 35-min drive to downtown Chicago. Save time to drive back to Michigan. Breakfast is very simple with limited items. I wish they offer Oatmeal rather than Grits.

The hotel was fine and most of the staff was fine as well. We needed bedding for the pullout bed and they didn’t want to bring them to the room the person on the phone was frustrated we wanted the bedding brought to the room. The lady working in the breakfast area was just down right rude and nasty and not helpful at all
