Summary:
Forget your worries in this spacious, private, and serene space. This four-bedroom, four-bathroom home is tucked into the Spring Valley Nature Preserve on the southern edge of Granville, Ohio. Perched on a ridge overlooking Salt Run Creek, our porch and decks at tree-top level invite a pause and a deep breath. Spacious and well-equipped, the house can comfortably accommodate a family or provide a quiet get-away for one or two.

The Space:
This home is large and spacious with a total of 3800 sq ft. The upper level has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. The Primary Suite has an oversized walk-in shower complete with heated floors throughout the entire bathroom!

The lower level has its own private suite complete with queen bed, a full bathroom and sitting/lounging area.

The home has multiple sitting areas inside and out with a formal living room and dining room, 2 family rooms, a kitchen with breakfast nook, screened-in porch, and multiple decks around the home creating lots of areas to relax and unwind.

The home has a beautiful wooded surrounding and backs up to the Spring Valley Nature Preserve, allowing for exploring and peaceful hikes on trails with direct access from the home.

We are just a few minutes from downtown Granville, where there are year-round events and wonderful restaurants, galleries, and shops to explore!

This place was outstanding. The amenities, decor, setting and accommodations were wonderful. We had an awesome family gathering, utilizing the firepit (with the lights....loved them), playing cards at the beautiful dining room table and enjoying the variety of beverages left for us. The property was exceptionally beautiful. And the house, and especially the kitchen, was very well equipped- though FINDING some kitchen items became something of an adventure. Krissie, the property manager, was very responsive even when an unfortunate plumbing situation popped up- as was the property owner. Certainly highly recommend this property, including the manager.

Beautiful property. All of us were impressed with the multiple spaces available to play games with our family. We enjoyed walking the trails and walking around the neighborhood. The kitchen had every pot, pan, dish, bowl imaginable. Bedrooms were lovely. Top class property!

A perfect weekend stay

This was, by far, the most beautiful house we have ever stayed in. The property and the interior of the home were gorgeous. The inside of the house has a fully equipped kitchen, lots of places to gather (including a screened porch, perfect for a long rainy day), and the furniture and art make it feel like a home, not a full-time rental property (which it is not). We cooked together and found all of the equipment we needed, including a rice cooker, good pots and pans, and knives that are actually sharp.The beds and bedding were comfortable, there was lots of parking, and we had plenty of room to spread out. This is a perfect place to meet up with old friends for a few days.

This house did not disappoint and is perhaps the best VRBO in the area. Lots of room for multiple families to cohabitate. The multi-level layout is unique and offers great views. This place is 100% as advertised. We'll certainly be back!

A Slice of Solitude

Wow! This home was immaculate, roomy, and beautiful. Hands down, it provided more amenities than we have ever experienced in a rental. Our group of seven fully enjoyed walking through the woods, chatting around the fire pit, and enjoying scrumptious meals in the well stocked, fully functional kitchen. We LOVED our time at Salt Run Summ, and hope to return one day!

Tranquil and Well Equipped

This was a perfect place for our friends getaway weekend! This home truly had everything you could possible need and was so comfortable and cozy! It’s obvious the owners lived in and loved this home before opening it up to others to enjoy. We enjoyed hiking the trails that started from the edge of the driveway. Only suggestion would be to have copies of the trail map for visitors to take with them. We truly enjoyed every minute and appreciated the well equipped kitchen and other rooms.

Clean, well stocked, large kitchen. House has lots of rooms which was great for different family members to visit without being on top of each other. Outside decks were fabulous. The fire pit was a highlight as was the location to the nature trail.

Peaceful, relaxing and clean!

Stayed for a long weekend with family to celebrate my Dads birthday! We had a wonderful time. They lay out is perfect for several people to have their own space and be together at the same time. The house and kitchen were wonderfully supplied, and excellently set up! The house and setting is so peaceful! Love the access to the trials and very convenient 6 min drive to downtown Granville! Will for sure be staying here again in the future!

Great rental

This space was even better than the pictures. Huge house with plenty of space to spread out, relax, and enjoy. The woodsy setting was so relaxing. The big dining room table seated 8 comfortably for food and games. Very nice rental.

Great Stay

Had an amazing quiet getaway at Salt Run Retreat. The whole house is extremely clean and is stocked with everything you need. The 3 levels of decks are all enclosed so my pup really enjoyed running around free to check out the sights. There are great walking trails right off the back of the property and it is very peaceful. The kitchen was great for cooking meals and there was plenty of room to spread out if you have a large group. I will definitely be back!

Beautiful home

Absolutely wonderful! The house was even better than the pictures! The entire property was incredibly clean! The secluded location allowed for peaceful nights. One day it rained the entire day and the season room off the back of the house allowed us to sit and enjoy the cool weather without getting wet! A masterful home. The home is split up just enough so you are not all on top of each other but can all hang out any time you want. The welcome binder gave specific instructions and came with a small letter from the owners. Definitely recommend this property!

Wonderful, welcoming house

We came into town for a swim meet and really enjoyed our stay! The house was clean and well-equipped. It is a beautiful home that sits in the woods on the edge of a nature preserve and we really enjoyed the privacy and woodland setting. It’s also very close to Denison and downtown Granville, so an easy commute to the aquatic center. We would stay here again. It’s a great place for a larger group and there was plenty of space for both adults and kids.
