Excellent location. All we needed was close by. The venues where we had booked to attend events were within walking distance and it was close to centre of town. All good.

The GOOD - The apartment was clean and as the photographs had shown.
The BAD - We noticed a smell of drains from the bathroom as soon as we got there and spotted that the bathroom extractor fan was not working but did so a day or so later. Woken at 6.00am on our first morning by the sound of a the heavy security gate - which is directly below Flat 7 which we were in - closing, which sounds like thunder in the flat. We also had a cleaner cleaning the stairs between 6.00am and 7.00am. The security gate closed with a heavy clang every time it closed, bearing in mind that other residents were probably going to work etc. We informed the hosts of these issues and someone came out to look at the gate - but he did not make any significant improvement and the gate was clanging shut all through our stay starting at 7.00am every day.
The hosts said it was fixed but it wasn`t. The hosts offered to give us a refund for 2 of the 3 nights we were there if we left but we couldn`t due to our arrangements and following that accused us of harassing them due to our complaints which were always polite and helpful.
SO BEWARE - The hosts WILL LIE - the apartment is VERY NOISY due to - The gate closing, hearing people on the stairs which is by Flat 7 bedroom wall and from around 7.00am there are heavy lorries going past that supply the businesses on the docks. We have all the emails backing up this account and are happy to share them. So AVOID FLAT 7 if you want a peaceful stay in Gloucester.

Absolutely perfect location and Christmas markets right on our doorstep. Beautiful apartment and clean and tidy. 100% will be booking again
