I made reservations weeks ago for a standard king room. When we checked in we were given a room number to a room that was already occupied. Back to the front desk - were assigned another room. The room was a queen bed - back to the front desk to find out there were no kings available even though I had reserved one.

We booked this hotel knowing it was very affordable and somewhat dated, so we had modest expectations. Unfortunately, our first assigned room was not acceptable — there was food stuck to the desk, visible stains on the bedding, and the bathroom floor had hair and dirt, indicating it hadn’t been cleaned thoroughly. We brought this to the front desk’s attention, and to their credit, the clerk did move us to a better room after checking the first one. However, we were uncomfortable with how unprofessionally she spoke about the cleaning staff, which didn’t leave a great impression. The second room was noticeably cleaner, though still not fully up to standard — the bathroom could have been more thoroughly cleaned, and the desk hadn’t been wiped down. Additionally, the check-in experience felt rushed, and we didn’t feel particularly welcomed by the front desk staff. Overall, this hotel may work for travelers simply looking for the lowest price, but improvements in cleanliness and professionalism would make a big difference.

My only real complaint about the motel was I had no hot water in the bathroom; either in the sink or tub/shower. So I was unable to even wash my face much less take a shower, which I had planned to do. I mentioned this to staff when I checked out.
