I agree with all the other reviews. They are accurate. Very charming. Several two story cottages around a pool. Lovely grounds. Responsive staff. Above average breakfast was included. Downside: Stairs. Very steep. shallow steps (only half my foot deep). Think sailboat steps. The only bathroom is downstairs. Downstairs has a large daybed adjacent to the bathroom door. No A/C unit downstairs, just a fan. I will say the bedroom upstairs with a king bed is a big room and A/C works fine. I liked the location one block off of the main commercial street. I think I would look further before I stayed there again. The place had a nice feel to it. Families were there. Couples. Quiet.

Hidden Gem in Gili T

Love staying at this small resort of very sweet villas in Gili T. Been there twice now and resort remains well kept with lush plants and palm trees. Each villa has personal outdoor seating table and day bed. Lovely swimming pool and sun beds. Friendly staff who arrange trips etc, nothing too much. Bycle rental on site. Walking distance to beach and restaurants but not noisy. Good price. Would recommend.

Comfortable stay at Gili

The resort was good. Toilet not at the same level as the bedroom was uncomfortable as we had to climb down a steep staircase to ise the batroom at the lower level. There was no free water bottle in the room. Breakfast was good and the resort with 10 cottages was planned beautifully around the cozy pool...My son had a knee injury so climbing the stairs up and down was a uncomfortable and cumbersome. For the fit and agile kind the room is great..

Such a great boutique style resort set back 100 metres from the beach. Traditional style modern complex with all modern amenities. Comfortable king size beds & spacious bathrooms. Close to all dining establishments, atms & mini marts. The grounds are well kept & pool immaculate. Delicious & generous breakfast. Excellent stay superb service.

Wow! Magical

I’ve been travelling for 7 weeks in asia now, and it is one of the best stay I had. Front desk and staff, there are amazing! Every single person there is sweet. We had welcome juice. Room is big, with aircon and fan, perfect combination. Beds were clean, bathroom clean. Nice balcony. Breakfast, simply amazing. You have 3 choices too, and it comes with a lot of food. Pool is beautiful and refreshing. Nice location also. Muslim prayer at night and in the morning, and we were in the ramadan period, but with earplugs, it is perfectly fine. To have a good stay in Gili, you must go there. The bathroom as windows, so if you want an « open air » bathroom, you can open the windows.

Wonderful!

The location was great....a block from the main strip and beach. It was very quiet....except for the extremely loud calling to prayer and chanting which go on several times a day from the nearby mosque. I doubt if there's anywhere on the busy east side of the island where you can avoid this, so bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper ( usually at least once in the middle of the night) The only other slightly negative is the fact that the bathroom is downstairs, and the bedroom up. For us 70 year olds, who usually have to get up at least once a night, the rather steep stairs were a challenge. Enough of the warnings....the rest is superb! The staff is amazing...couldn't do enough for you. Rooms were cleaned daily....a crew of 4 or 5 guys arrived at your leisure....and the unit was spotless. The pool was great to cool off in, and the grounds very lush. Joanna, the owner, was super friendly and helpful. The island itself is paradise....no cars or motor bikes (other than the odd electric scooter), and you get around by bike ($5 a day), walk, or horse drawn buggy. It's a scuba diver's and snorkellers heaven, and party central for the under 30 crowd, but we never felt out of place. Any trip to Bali should include Gili Trawangan, and Marta's is a great place to stay!

Had a great time

We had a spectacular stay at Martas Gili from Jan 1-4 2018. We were situated in a family bungalow which was a good size and the beds were very clean and comfy. The bathroom was large enough. It took a while for hot water to come on but it was HOT when it did which I appreciated! There was AC in top and bottom floors. The breakfast was spectacular and the staff were absolutely over the top kind and accommodating. We even got to rent bikes from the hotel which made travel so quick and easy! The pool is a decent size for you to do a few laps. One night we saw a large crab hanging out in front of our bungalow! They provide mosquito repellent aroma in the room so that helped with bites at night. This was by far the highlight stay of our vacation and it made Gili so extremely enjoyable for us. Thank you so much for your amazing hospitality, we will certainly stay here again should we visit Gili in the future!

The hotel was central to local mosque and night clubs. No transport needed between the ferry and the hotel. Our room was upstairs with toilet bathroom downstairs. The stairs were safe but could be a little steep for some. The hotel was clean tidy and staff very helpful. The breakfast was great.

Friendly staffs! They are super nice and helpful! Expect to walk upstairs if you choose to stay at a bangalore. Good AC. Bed was clean and comfortable. Decent breakfast! Simple yet made well. Wifi is not that fast, but that helped me to turn off my phone and enjoy the nature more :D

Amazing stay and wonderful staff!

Absolutely fabulous stay! From the day we arrived till we left, staff was attentive and helpful, the grounds were well kept, and breakfast was fabulous. We were contacted before arrival to offer for a staff to meet us at the pier and help us find our way. Cold fruit drinks were given upon arrival, the rooms at Marta’s are well kept and spacious. The location is wonderful- quick walk to the “main” strip where we ventured around, shopped and ate dinner. Marta’s also rents bikes for an extremely reasonable price. I cannot day enough good things about Marta’s - I hope to one day return!

An oasis

A little passing in the madness of Gili T. Extremely well located close to the harbour and the front, just a couple of hundred yards down a side street, we found it easily walking from the harbour even with our bags. Very pretty traditional style bungalows. Lovely outdoor seating area, quite private, upstairs massive bed and ground floor big bathroom. Freshly squeezed fruit juice welcome drink, lovely staff, beautiful breakfast.

One of the very nice and clean hotel in gili on a very reasonable price , excellent service , very friendly staff and big spacious rooms. Close to gili night market everything is in walking distance from the hotel. Highly recommended.

Best Hotel experience of our life

We we're planning on island hopping between the Gili's so we originally book one night only but we never left the place. It's a relaxing place two block from the main street so it's possible to be near the party zone and go back to your oasis of relaxation in no time. The staff is polite and nice, the room is beautiful and clean. I highly recommend this place, you won't regret it.
