Very close to the 400 highway, but very quiet. The call of loons, ducks and geese were very soothing. Watched a beaver swim by. While most of the features (restaurant, seasonal water craft) were not available as it was off season, we were able to walk to another restaurant and it was great. Looking forward to visiting again during summer season.

1. There was a putrid odour in the hallway outside our room. 2. Unexpected charges of $25 /day. When asked we were told it was to use the pool and any other activities. We did not actually use any “activities” but none the less we were charged $50 extra on our bill.

This is our go to place every year and we love it, this year we went on June 1st but unfortunately the beach, fireplace, canoes/kayaks and day beds weren’t setup for use. Next time we would be booking later in the summer after confirming everything is up and running for use. Otherwise great place to visit !!

Had to stay in a pet friendly room, and it wasn’t very nice. Too dark, had one fluorescent light that created a prison like mood to the room. The walls were paper thin and the floors creaked. They charge a resort fee for a hot tub that is like warm and a 2 person outdoor sauna that looks like it’s about to fall down and isn’t warm. Would only stay there again if my campsite got rained out.

We had a fantastic vacation at the resort. The private beach was peaceful and spectacular, and the staff were incredibly kind and approachable. Our only suggestion would be to add an elevator for easy access to the second floor, as navigating the stairs with a stroller was a bit challenging with a baby.

Disappointing.

Pool and “Soaker” tub are gross. Couldn’t see the bottom of the pool and the tub had “stuff” floating in it. “Soaker” tub used to be a hottub, clearly, but at one point they decided not to keep the jets operating and just changed its name. Outdoor sauna was decent but the ground to get to it was saturated, muddy, and covered in goose poop. Restaurant was meh and out of two of their main courses. Room was decent enough. Good sized. Would pick elsewhere for the price. We were refunded our “resort” fee but have no idea what they were charging it for in the first place. Definitely not a resort in the winter.

Power outage help!

Everything was great. We went during the power outage to be able to have warmth and showers. All was as expected. Room numbers were a bit confusing… had to search a bit to find ours but eventually did. Shower was a bit confusing to turn on. We loved our time with our dog here. The staff were all dog lovers and the property is right on the lake. We’ve already book our next stay!
