Excellent!

We had an excellent time at Hotel Sonne in Gengenbach! There was not a single thing you could say, that was not good. Very positive and helpful staff, excellent restaurant, traditional inner city building renovated to a very high standard. We enjoyed our stay immensely!

The hotel has a great location near the center of the old town. It is about a 15 minute walk from the train station. It was near many restaurants, bars and historic sites. The included breakfast was excellent and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel does not have air conditioning but they provided a fan (with a deposit).

Great position, centre of the town and minutes from the railway station. Plenty of bars and restaurants literally a stones throw away. Lovely vibrant atmosphere and i wouldnt hesitate to recommend visiting Gengenbach and staying at the Hotel Sonne. We had a front room overlooking the town and luckily the storks were nesting on the roof opposite which for me was an added bonus!
