This hotel is so very clean and welcoming! The pool is very cute for little children. The only downfall was we found a lot of hair left around our room, bathroom, balcony and towels. Overall, a great place.

Misrepresentation of their amenities . Online there is a beautiful bar area, outdoor patio area, pool table and a fire pit for conversation. I will be contacting Hilton management group, BH Hospitality Management, Expedia and the General Manager of the hotel. I booked this hotel with these advertised amenities and when I arrived the front desk told me that these amenities haven’t been available for over TWO YEARS. So, I’m not the only guest that has been deceived. It’s the responsibility of the Hotel or Management group to ensure accurate media advertising of the hotel.

Not what we expect from Hilton.

Not as described. Thought we were getting ocean view. The only way we had ocean view from our room was to look to the side and through other guests' balconies. Also, yes, they have a pool. But, the pool is much smaller than the average hotel pool. They had breakfast, but the meats and eggs were undercooked. Only 1 elevator worked. We waited in long lines multiple times to use the elevator. The sign on the broken elevator stated they didnt know when it would work again. The front desk staff and breakfast staff all appeared to be upset, none of them smiled. I've stayed at a few Hilton hotels and this was, by far, the worst. At least the room was clean and comfortable. We go fairly often to Galveston but won't stay here again.

The balcony view picture used by this hotel is misleading. Some of the rooms do have this view, but the other rooms are partial ocean views only. Also... they charge $20 a night to park your car. This parking fee is buried in the small print, so it was unexpected when I checked in. So basically the "real" nightly rate is their room rate plus $20. Come on TRU... don't play these kind of games. Other than those two complaints, the stay was good. Clean rooms, good breakfast, pleasant staff.

First room AC not working. Second room had no ice bucket, coffee maker. Also had to call for soap and shampoo as squeeze tubes were empty. When checked in, only one elevator worked, few hours later other elevator didn’t work, so no elevator at all until next morning. Also had to pay $20 for parking, which was not disclosed on website, so a surprise at checkin.

This property is my families absolute favorite, because we can bring our pup and it is walking distance across the street from the beach

We were given a room that wasn’t what we reserved my reservation was for a balcony in front of the hotel with a sea view , instead, they gave us one that the view was of an emergency room, the elevators were not working and we had to take our luggage through 3 set of stairs , the personnel was very attentive, however when we asked for the room we had reserved they did not do anything about it , we liked that the property is across the street from the beach.

Fist and last time at Tru.

First and last time at this hotel. Service was not good. Staff not trained in hospitality. The air conditioning didn’t work the first night of our stay. Our room was never cleaned even though in the bathroom it’s posted that the rooms are cleaned every other day. I never leave reviews but this was bad enough to compel me to let the powers that be know.

We've stayed there several times and always have a great time. The only thing was loss of power that kept the rooms hot and the AC system noisy throught the night. Still had a great time. Will be going back again
