My Wife and I fell in love with this area and this condo because we love the water and this unit has water views from every window and patio. We also love the open floorplan, the spacious bedrooms and the two deck areas with one large deck that fronts a wetland area over looking Galveston Bay and seats 12 easily and the other deck off the master that seats two and overlooks a large pond and the Gulf of Mexico in the distance.

Pointe West is an exclusive resort community on the western tip of Galveston Island. The beaches are clean, groomed regularly and closed to vehicular traffic. The main clubhouse has a beautiful infinity edge pool, hot tub, kid’s pool, cabanas, grills, gift shop, workout facility with lockers and a game room. The Sunset Pool on the bayside has a small lazy river, hot tub, fire pit, gas and charcoal grills for the guests use during their stay. Enjoy the pool bar and restaurant, Smore's by the Sunset Pool, kid's crafts, Dive-in Movies and live entertainment. (We will send you the activity schedule upon booking your vacation or you can check the Pointe West Beach Club website for times/dates).

Golf carts, kayaks and paddleboards are available for rent from local island vendors. Please ask us we have information on these items and other things you may want to rent when visiting Pointe West.

The homeowner offers a 5% discount to military and veterans. Any guest staying over 7 days is offered a 10% discount off of the rent!

You are only approximately 25 minutes from downtown Galveston (The Strande), Schlitterbahn, Moody Gardens, Pleasure Pier and all the other great attractions of Galveston. Major grocery stores are located 20 minutes away so we recommend guests stop on their way in so they never have to leave their vacation getaway! However if you do need supplies on the fly there is an amazingly well-stocked store in Sea Isle and Jamaica Beach . They have fresh meats and seafood and many gourmet items throughout the store, along with some cool seaside gifts, clothes, and essentials.

The Property Owners Association (POA) at Pointe West collects a wristband fee of $25 per guest for each guest over the age of 4 (children 3 and younger do not pay)for use of the Beach Club, Sunset Pools, fitness center, and game room during your stay at Pointe West . No wristbands are required to enjoy the beautiful beaches at Pointe West this fee is only for use of pools, fitness center, and other amenities. . The wristbands are available at the Beach Club reception everyday during business hours(9-5 off season, 9-6 peak season). The physical address for the Beach Club is 4161 Pointe West Drive, Galveston, TX. 77554. Temporary bands to enjoy the restaurant or shop in the Gift shop are available upon request during your stay.

This home has everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. The kitchen is fully stocked, and they have a Ninja Grill on their Patio. You will want to plan ahead and do your groceries ahead of time because the nearest grocery store is a good 25 minutes away. Beautiful access to the Beach. Cute Small Lazy River and Nice Pool. You will need to pay 25.00 for the wrist bands but totally worth it. Communications with the Owner was on par. Anytime I had a question they were there to answer.

Pointe West Condo

We absolutely loved our stay! The location of Pointe West is perfect. The beaches were clean, felt safe, and a great family atmosphere. We enjoyed renting a golf cart to get around as the beach and pools are a walk, especially if you are carrying items. The property was clean, quiet, and very relaxing. Our condo had everything you would need a more. We will be returning again!

Good property. It is more of a walk than anticipated to the club pool. It's just outside your doors, it's across the main street and down a piece. You dont get much of a beach view from the balcony. Overall good clean space for me and my family.

We enjoyed our time! Condo needs a bit of deep cleaning on ledges, walls, shower caulking, etc and I had to vacuum when we go there bc the couches had dog hair still on them. Otherwise, we enjoyed our time and the communication with the owner was quick and helpful. This unit was also fully stocked with everything we could think to need to cook and feel at home.

Everything You Need at Your Fingertips

Great location. Beautiful resort community. Walking/Running paths very accessible to pool and beaches. Pools very clean and plenty of places to lounge. The pool bar was closed when we visited. Condo has plenty of room to spread out. All the necessities of home. We bought groceries the first day but there are plenty of places to eat out. We will definitely stay again.

Fall beach trip

We rented the condo last weekend for a fall beach trip with our twin 3.5 year olds. The condo was very clean and nicely decorated. The condo has a very well equipped kitchen. The owner labeled the wall switches which was super helpful in figuring out what light worked where! The condo is on bay side and has a pretty view and great bay breeze! We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this condo to others!

No need to look any further. Perfect in every way. 10/10

Every year my family - 5 adults now and 3 dogs - go down to a Texas beach for a few days. We spend hours looking through rentals. So when I say, “no need to look further”, I mean it. John went above and beyond for us, especially when it came to communication and making an exception for our dogs because they are very old and needed a place with an elevator. We are dog people and that meant everything to us. So, thank you again, John. The condo is exactly as advertised and actually exceeded our expectations. Even though it’s on the first floor, the views are amazing. The balcony overlooking the bay offers another living room and dining area. We are bird watchers also and truly enjoyed our coffee in the mornings while watching the birds along the shores. The two person patio off the master was also a great morning coffee location. As our kids said, with the access to Pointe West Beach Club and the comforts of the condo, we truly felt like we were staying at a 5 star resort. Everything was perfect: the beds, games, kitchen, every utensil needed, TV’s (if needed), clean, the pools, the food, everything - no BS. The beaches are huge and there are sections without cars (perfect for us) and with cars if that’s what you need. And walkways over the dunes, every quarter mile. Think twice before spending money on a golf cart. Everything is within a half mile and the walks are easy. The car can be for other needs. There are grocery stores within 5 miles. And Galveston is a quick drive away. John says they fell in love with Pointe West years ago and we now understand why. The community really is committed to a resort atmosphere while also protecting the land and wildlife. You won’t regret the decision to stay here. We enjoyed making many new family memories. We hope it is as relaxing and adventurous for you as it was for us. Enjoy!

Comfortable condo in a beautiful area on the TX coast

The condo is exactly as pictured and was very comfortable for our group of six. The kitchen was well-equipped enough for us to make most of our meals there, and we enjoyed the outdoor balcony for dining and lounging. There were some minor glitches getting checked in with the resort, but the owner responded and got that sorted out quickly. From the condo it's about a half-mile walk to either of the resort pools or to the beach. The resort pools were nice and not too crowded, and we really enjoyed the beach because it's quieter and less crowded than beaches closer in to Galveston. Just bring most of your groceries with you because other than a convenience store about 10 minutes away (which has drinks and some other staples), you're looking at a long drive to a bigger store. The relative remoteness was part of the attraction for us, but you do need to come prepared.
