La Vista-Spanish Hideaway (STR25-000083) is a canal home rental in Jamaica Beach.

Living room upstairs has a queen sleeper sofa. Also includes pack-n-play and highchair.

Downstair Rooms: rooms with attached bathroom, shower and bar area along with washer and dryer

Its location on a large part of the canal gives easy access to the bay and beautiful views from the swing, hammock or downstairs bar.

Fish in the overhead fishing lights, take a ride on the 2 person kayak, and go biking throughout the neighborhood to the park or to the beach on one of the bikes provided for your enjoyment. Neighborhood pool now open for use. Last season cost was @ $5/person over 6 yrs old or $25/person for entire season (must check with pool for current rates). Pool located next to the playground and basketball courts. Effective June 17, 2020, the neighborhood has a boat launch area that requires a permit and fee for use. The permit can only be obtained during business hours Monday-Thursday by the owners, so please advise in advance if you need us to collect a permit for you to use the boat docking area.

House features WiFi and Smart TVs along with many board games and books to keep everyone entertained.

We had a very comfortable stay at this house for our family of four. The space worked great for us, and the large bar counter was especially convenient for preparing food and setting things down.This place is also great for fishing. Unfortunately, we didn’t visit at the best time, so the fish we caught were quite small, and we only caught a few small crabs. We would love to come back in the summer or fall for a better experience.I would highly recommend this home for families. It’s especially suitable for a group of 4–6 people.A couple of small suggestions that might make the experience even better: the underwater fishing light didn’t seem to be working—if repaired, it could help attract more crabs. Also, there was only one rod holder left on the post.Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this property!

The property was just how it’s listed on Vrbo! We loved the canal access and the neighborhood was lovely. Being able to ride our golf cart to the local gas station and the beach was amazing. Everything was clean and well maintained and the owner was very prompt in answering messages. Would stay again.

Everything was really nice! The house was comfortable and the views are phenomenal. It is nice to wake up and have coffee on the deck. Having use of the kayak is really nice as well. The downstairs wet bar and suite is a nice feature. Thanks for letting us stay at your beautiful home!

This place was great but I do have a couple of issues with management. First off, the trash was piled up in one outdoor garbage can, the internet never worked,(even after trying to reset as advised by the management) and we were instructed to wash a load of towels before we left but there was no laundry soap available. I didn't bring any on the trip as were there for fishing excursions not laundry. Other than that, the location and accessibility and accommodations were more than adequate.

Overall it was ok but the house needs work done. Worst part was the roaches, at least 2 a day were found. One bedroom door and front door do not fully close, bedroom floor is messed up. Seen in pictures there was a green light, was told there was not one, there is in fact one so makes me wonder if these people actually ever go to this house. The downstairs room A/C will go out.

Fantastic relaxing stay

My friends and family had a great time here. Beds and couches were comfortable. Plenty of space to hang out, the downstairs bar was great for night relaxing. Would recommend to anyone.Plenty of parking easily fit 5 vehicles.

Fishing and crabbing from dock was good, and communication with owner was quick and easy. It should be noted that there are NOT green lights in the water at this particular house, just some at other houses along the canal. Be sure to check the refrigerator setting - we didn't notice it was on coldest, and had to throw out frozen eggs. And don't count on comfortable beds downstairs - we finally had to rent a hotel room for the third night of our stay due to lack of sleep. But overall nice place and location.

Awesome guys trip

This property was perfect for our friends get-together. Great hangout spot downstairs at the bar with nice rooms for sleeping. It had everything we needed to enjoy the outdoors of the Texas Gulf Coast.

We had all the space needed to have an enjoyable stay. The property is as shown in the listing. The host was very accommodating and answered any questions promptly. Unfortunately, the fish didn’t cooperate, but the crabs did. We’ll get them next time.

Perfect spot for family trip!

The property is very clean, we had everything we could need, and it was located very close to the beach. Was only a 2 minute drive to the beach access point. We loved being able to take the kayak out in the mornings, and sit out on the deck with a cup of coffee. Overall we had an awesome stay as a family. Only thing I’d suggest is more grilling utensils and sharpening of knives but everything was still usable.
