Would not recommend this hotel. First, it is located behind a gas station and very hard to find. The parking is a dirt lot that is behind the hotel and there is not a place to temporarily park to check in or get your luggage out which means you have to drag your luggage through the muddy lot, around the building, to get into the hotel. The room itself was ok, but the rim smelled of dog. The walls were thin as well making it so you heard all the conversations. When I checked in, I told the guy at the reception that I did not want the breakfast, however when bI went to check out they tried to charge me for it. I had to push back and they dropped the breakfast charge.

Rooms were extremely basic by comparison with the photos on Expedia. Staff weren’t anything like as helpful as they could have been. One very positive thing, however, was the breakfast, which was excellent quality and value. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place.

2 cents on Hotel Classic.

The location is a bit far from the main center. Also the tram work is going on..so if you travelling by public transport you will have to make 1 change. The card machine was not working, they said it was for many parts of Germany, but I was able to swipe for my other shopping and travel etc. I had to pay cash for my stay for which I had to withdraw from the ATM in city (20min by bus + tram). Overall it was 'ok' experience.

First time in Freiburg since 2001. Very clean room. Friendly staff. Parking is easy. Public transportation is very close. Breakfast was plentiful and tasted great. Id stay here again.

The hotel is very functional. It is clean and relatively close to Europa-Park which is why we stayed there and it was airconditioned which is rare. There is no view or anything luxurious about it, but it serves a purpose when you want a clean room for your family.

It’s a quiet hotel with easy access to transportation especially the tram and a very big supermarket just opposite the road . The room we had for 4 people was big. The staffs were very efficient and as we were early reaching the hotel they quickly prepare the extra bed for us.
