Unfortunately there was no hot water available while we were there due to maintenance. Parking was also a challenge. We parked on the street 6 blocks away after checking in. Plan extra time for this and hope for a little luck.

Booked this so I could cook instead of eat out all the time. The dishes had mold and dust on them, cookware and glasses were coated in filth… Made me want to vomit. Ate out every meal because I couldn’t bring myself to touch/clean the kitchen

Okay but may be no parking

The property itself was good - the location was good, huge Kaufland right opposite, good facilities and amenities in the apartment. Nice staff as well. The only downfall was the parking - for the 2 nights of our stay we could not use the car park as it was full up. The only other option was to use free street parking which was also limited so we had to park much further from the hotel at times and it caused us concern as we were on a roadtrip and had a lot of belonging in our car. So thats something I would consider before booking this hotel again.

Hotel review

My rating is based on the fact that the air was cut off every two hours. This caused me to wake up sweating every night. This ruined this trip. Days have been gorgeous but hot. My recommendation will be to do the cut off during the day. Other than that is a good place for the cost.

Excellent and reasonably-priced hotel. Perfect for holidays in Freiburg as it's right next to the main Tram 2 stop (Eugen-Martin-Straße) giving easy access to the centre. Lots of local grocery stores, which is great for stocking up the included kitchen. Everyone was very helpful and the rooms well-stocked (bring your own nespresso pods though). Sure, the rooms are a bit small, but once you realise the beds go up into the wall(!) you'll have plenty of space. Nice lighting, good number of sockets (power outlets), lovely towels, and the all-important Air Conditioning - for Freiburg is super hot in the summer and super cold in the winter. Extra points for a decent number of clothes hangers and TVs to which you can attach your own devices for streaming (the WiFi was fast enough for HD)

Very well kept hotel with nice lobby and good location, but the room was tiny. The double bed could only be accessed from one side. The dining table was the size of a chess board, with an even smaller desk. All with high uncomfortable seats.

The toiletries were limited to hand soap and body and hair wash only, and they were not top up when checked in. Otherwise, it is a pleasant place to stay. Its breakfast spread was very good at an reasonable price.

The property was fit for purpose. We used it just to have a place to sleep and visit Freiburg and surroundings. The hotel is clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The room was very small for 2 people and their luggage (2 had fairly sizeable suitcases, since we were spending 3 weeks in Europe).

The apartment was clean and practical with everything we needed. Only two minor points: the pillows are low quality and very thin, and the main ceiling light in our room didn't work, even after I asked reception to check it and replace the light bulb if necessary. But overall a pleasant and comfortable stay and very convenient for the tram into town, supermarkets etc.
