The Haven is a perfect getaway for the whole crew! Located in the lakes area in-between Vergas and Frazee (about 10 minutes from Perham) this newly renovated gem has an open space downstairs and upstairs. Spacious bathroom, big gather room, open bedroom concept, and laundry room.

-Nice and quiet neighborhood with families and summer lake homes.

-Kitchenette available for meals and coffee bar

-Wonderful play area outside with trampoline, playground and basketball hoop for the kids

-Winter time favorites in the area include snowmobiling, skiing & snowboarding, ice skating, ice fishing, cross country skiing, and bingo nights at Billy's Bar in local town of Vergas. There is an amazing Step Up Thrift store owned by the on-sight hosts also in the town for those who like shopping!

Perfect space & location

The Haven was truly a wonderful haven and space for our family. As the kids have gotten older, we no longer fit in my mom's house when we head north to visit. This house was incredibly convenient in terms of location to Vergas as well as a perfect space for our family. The kids loved that we were all sleeping in one big open room together. The space is beautifully decorated and doesn't feel like the repurposed garage that it is while you're inside. There were so many positives to this space - the large bathroom & shower, the bathroom two sinks outside the toilet/shower room were convenient, the outside play space (trampoline, playset, etc), the washer & dryer, the kitchenette, & all of the board games were so great! The hosts were wonderful, I highly recommend this space.

Great family house

Property maintained well great yard. All the cooking equipment worked well. Grill was in good condition. Lots of games provided and some treats. The coffee bar was very nice touch. Provided nice laundry detergent and toiletries. Quite area. Great owner Steve, lives across the street( his kids manage the renting) but he was very cordial and offered to help get fire ready and encouraged our 5&10 year old to play as much as they could with all the provided yard games, playground and sandbox. On a dead end dirt road great walk with view of the lake. Very cute. With unique personal touches spread throughout. Would love to come back.

The Haven

The Haven was a great place to stay. Clean rooms, newer construction. Endless activities for the kids. Just miles from Detroit Lakes MN on Lake Rose. Highly recommend.

Perfect for families with small children

We ended up booking the haven last minute due to a family emergency. Andy, the host, was wonderful to work with and was able to accommodate all of our booking needs. The cabin is spacious, and is set up in a way so that each bed has its own privacy in an alcove but yet the whole bedroom is a loft. There are quite a few stairs from the living area/kitchen/bathroom area to the bedroom area, but this wasn't an issue for us. Was absolutely perfect for our needs and we would highly recommend.
