This great unit has been recently renovated with new carpet, dining and living room furniture! The kitchen is fully furnished with everything you need to enjoy a great meal on your balcony while watching the boats go up and down the Intracoastal waterway. Windows facing west in this end unit provides a spectacular view of the beach and sunset! Enjoy the balcony views of the inter-coastal waterway. Access to pool and all of our amenities are at the bottom of the stairs.
El Matador Condominiums are located next to 17 miles of uninhabited beach. To make your Florida vacation unforgettable, our beach resort offers an array of amenities which includes two pools (one is heated seasonally), tennis/pickle ball and basketball courts, a fitness center, whirlpools, saunas, meeting rooms and more! Resting on over 12 acres, El Matador is beautifully landscaped and meticulously attended featuring lush palm trees and manicured lawn. The resort is accented by surrounding sugar-white sand, the sparkling surf, and is convenient to many unique shopping establishments fine restaurants and a variety of water sports.
Age Requirement: NO reservations will be accepted for singles under the age of 25 unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. A parent or legal guardian shall be allowed to supervise no more than 3 individuals under the age of 25. Parent or legal guardian MUST occupy the same room as those they are supervising. Any reservations made under false pretenses will forfeit all prepaid rents and deposits and will be required to vacate the unit.

Short getaway
It was a decent property with nice amenities. Pools were clean, easy to access. No issues with other tenants.
Pros:
*end of strip so very easy to access beach & walk to uninhabited shoreline
*Nice pools with restrooms nearby
*Big private balcony
*Very easy check in/out
* Attendant at entrance to parking lot for safety
*Short commute to Destin
Cons:
*Carpet was pretty worn
*Dishwasher left dishes greasy
*Wicker dining chair was broken & sharp even with seat pad
*Laundry is not in unit & you need $3 per load in quarters

Spring break
Great place to stay but needs more. Didn’t even have a cookie sheet to bake on. Needs to have an air fryer as well. It’s the little things like that that make the place great. Also, no beach chairs. The other unit we rented last year had their balcony closet unlocked with beach chairs.

Perfect place
We stayed here to visit with family and to attend a memorial for my father. It was the perfect location for family. It wasn't too far from the beach but it was quiet and right next to the pool, basketball court, and tennis courts. Wonderful place

The lock on entry door was hard to lock when you left out. You need to double check it to make sure it locked. The so call heated pool near our building (5) was not heated like we were told. It said no pets allowed but we heard dogs & saw them walking around. The room we were in was very nice & spacious. The beds were very comfortable. We had trouble with the TV which went out in the middle of my husband favorite football game & he was not a happy. Also the internet went out also.

Lori's condo El Matador
We had a great stay at El Matador this past week. The pools are nice and the beach location at the end of fort Walton Beach is perfect. There's not a lot of traffic once you get on to oskaloosa Island which helps with eating out and access to groceries etc. We would definitely stay at El Matador again. Everything was clean and as advertised. The check-in process was super easy. We enjoyed the pools and the beach.
