I had two separate concierges on Thursday night (10/23) & Friday morning (10/24). Both were very accommodating & kindly agreed to hold our bags until our 3:00 PM check in to our Airbnb & were given tickets when time to collect our belongings. Unfortunately, our experience with the property’s security was extremely disappointing.
Around 1:00 PM on Friday, while waiting by the grotto, a security guard approached & told us we weren’t allowed to be there. I explained that we were guests who had stayed the previous night & that the concierge had confirmed they would hold our belongings until we left at 3. The guard refused to listen & kept repeating himself rather than trying to understand the situation. I eventually gave up & began to gather my things to leave.
Immediately after speaking with me, the same guard told the rest of my group in the reservation they had till 2:30 do to a private event. If this had been communicated from the start, we would have been more than happy to accommodate that schedule, but the guard made it very difficult to communicate or resolve the misunderstanding calmly.
Overall, the situation was handled poorly, & the lack of coordination between concierge, & security created an unnecessary & uncomfortable experience. That said, the venue itself was beautiful! The beach, breakfast spot, & location were all wonderful. It’s a shame such a great setting was overshadowed by poor communication & an unprofessional handling of guests.
