I usually stay at a property up the street but I wanted to try something different.
The blue wave is a part of Hollywood Beach Hotels, a string of properties owned by one management.
The blue wave is one of the properties that needs a remodel. In the room was a very comfortable bed with clean linen. However, everything else was old and dirty. Walls haven’t been washed in a while. Basin sink gurgled and coughed up water constantly (I made management aware) and the outside area was pretty icky. The pool looks great until you get in and realize it hasn’t had some tic in a long time. The concrete needs a power wash.
Check in was too swift, as in paper just keep getting tossed at me to sign…so fast I left my id at the desk. No please or thank you’s.
Tuck shop in the office has a lot of stuff. I liked that.
If I stay with HBH again I would try a property closer to the beach as I think those ones are taken care of a bit more meticulously.
