The house was very rustic, yet charming. The indoor space was adequate for two people. The beds were very comfortable, and there were a lot of extra pillows and blankets. The deck and the screen porch were an added bonus. We enjoyed sitting on the rocking chairs on the outdoor deck, watching birds. The house overlooked the Saint Mary’s River, and there was a fishing dock with two chairs. It was a very relaxing view. The only negative thing that I have to say is that the dirt road leading to the property was a soft silt, which led to ruts, and it was a little dicey for driving. We almost got stuck once. I contacted the owner of the property about my concerns, and he said he would tell us out if we got stuck. He replied very quickly to my concerns. The worst section was only about 40 feet long, and the silt was 6 to 8 inches deep. The house was in very close proximity to the Okefenokee swamp, and downtown Folkson. It was a great spot for relaxing.
