The laundry service was a gift! We found enough in the kitchen to make it work for us. The surprise was a king size bed as we were under the mistaken impression that it was a standard full size bed. It was amazingly quiet for the neighborhood so we slept well. It looks just like the pictures online!

Walking distance to Dumno. New Bridge Pizza across the street is amazing pizza, beer and the customer service is amazing. Loved the washer and dryer. If you are over 150 pounds you may have issue with size of shower. smallest one ever but water pressure was great.

The location of this property was excellent! We were minutes away from the Duomo and so many shops and restaurants and even a grocery store. The check in process was easy. We stayed for 5 days and overall were very pleased. My only issue was a lack of space in the washroom or in the kitchen. There aren't really any place to put things because it's cosy and things are already there. I'm talking any groceries or toiletry bag. The shower was off it's hinge but I'm sure they will fix that as well. We managed and only told them at the end but it's tight. However, overall, for the location and the easy check in, we had a great stay.

The hosts were communicative. The pictures were accurate. The location is close to duomo and walking distance to many sights. The bed was comfy and the apartment was a 5 minute walk from grocery store. That being said, being in the heart of the city was noisy. I had a hard time sleeping due to noise. The heat was on in the apartment and host said it turned off automatically. It was warm so we needed windows open and thus the noise. Also there was an odor in the hallway leading to the apartment.

I loved staying here! There was plenty of room and it was a great to cook so I didn’t have to eat out every meal. I bought some great ravioli from the local market. The location was perfect to explore Florence. The bus stop was just a few steps away. Very convenient to get to the train station so I didn’t have to lug my luggage through the streets. Mirta and Francesco were great hosts and Enrico was there to greet me and show me around. I’ll stay here if I’m ever in Florence again!!!

Sant' Egidio was perfect for our stay. It was cosy and warm. Everything we needed was in the flat. We stayed for two weeks. We were met by an associate of the host who explained how to use the washing machine. Where the trash recycling goes etc., it as all perfect.

Great location, this apartment shows a little where and tear. Very close and walkable to the Duomo, museums and lots of restaurants right outside the door. We had no internet for 2 days, but it was finally restored.

The apartment is wonderful! The location is perfect. And there were great supplies to make our stay more comfortable and efficient. Paper products were there, spices, plenty of kitchen supplies. The towels in the bathroom were plentiful, large and soft. Use the oven, stove, top washer and dryer and dishwasher, everything worked well! The bed was comfortable and the rooms were plenty large.

The apartment was very well provided with amenities. It was clean, comfortable and very cosy. The kitchen was small but well stocked with cutlery, plates, cups etc. My only small issue was the lack of a couple of small saucepans and maybe a slightly larger frypan. We cooked at home every day so noticed this maybe more than people who go out to eat. Mirta and Franceso were excellent hosts, as was Enrico who met us when we arrived. We will be coming back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is perfect and we were able to go back to the apartment early afternoon to regenerate before heading out again. The property is quite and feels very safe. It is quite dark, however we did not spend a lot of time there, so it wasn't am issue. It is close to buses, bars, restaurants, gelato shops (very important!) and a supermarket is close by. We ate in one night and it had everything we needed to prepare a simple mealWe would recommend the apartment to anyone staying in Florence.

Quiet sanctuary in the heart of Florence

I stayed at this first-floor apartment with my husband and 8 year old daughter and it was the perfect size for 2 adults and 1 child. The owner met us on arrival and helped by setting up the fold-out couch as a bed for our daughter. There were many extras we appreciated, like the travel shampoos and complimentary snacks and bottle of wine. Location is around the corner from the Duomo and a convenient walk to all major sites, but you would never know it, it was so calm and quiet. The unit also has air conditioning units in both main room and bedroom which was a huge plus since we were there during a heat wave. If you stay here we recommend keeping the air on and windows shut in summer since we noticed a few mosquitoes getting into the unit. Otherwise we found this a great home base for our Florence visit!

Adequate but with hassles

Good location, just needs some routine maintenance. The washer/dryer takes 5 hours and either leaves clothes still wet or blisteringly hot. The iron requires a plug in attachment that you must switch between appliances to make them work. We don’t have this in the US and weren’t told about in at check-in. Also, mosquitoes were a huge issue. There were dozens in the house, and all three of us were left with a ridiculous amount of bites while we slept. We contacted the host about this in the morning and they responded in the afternoon that there bug spray in the cupboard, but there was only a little bit left in the can, barely enough for one room. Later, they sent someone with a plug-in repellent, but we wish the issue had been taken care of beforehand, especially since their fix was so simple (though it didn’t seem effective). Additionally, we tried to use the oven while our clothes were still drying, and the entire apartment lost power. We played with the fuse box and nothing worked until we found another fuse box outside the apartment. The host did not reply until hours later when we had already figured it out.

Great location but MOSQUITOES

The property is in a fabulous location. Very close to the Duomo, grocery store, bus stops, restaurants, etc. The bed was comfy and the air conditioning was nice. We let the host know we would be doing laundry and she left us some complimentary laundry pods. As others have mentioned the bathroom especially the shower is quite small but we were expecting that. What we were not expecting was the copius amount of mosquitoes. During our 3 nights in Florence I think we saw one mosquito outside. However this apartment is full of them. The host is aware of this because when I suggested some fly strips or other pest control solutions she mentioned that there is Raid for mosquitoes by the washing machine. We did spray this a few times in the apartment but the smell is not great and it didn't really seem to help. Both my daughter and I have multiple bites all over.

Near the Duomo

This was our second stay at this apartment and again it was wonderful. We really enjoy the area, as it is so near major landmarks but also an area frequented by locals as well as tourists. The apartment was clean and the washer/dryer was a plus! Also, they were very helpful getting us into the apartment early and helping us get a taxi to the train station when we left. Would love to come back!
