Excellent location Spacious room. Ariane was very welcoming and accomodating Only minor comment was that when the room was vacated for a while , we would return to a slight sewer smell that we determined was coming from open sinks etc We simply plugged and and filled the sinks and bidet with water and that seemed to correct the situation It is not uncommon in hotels in Italy We have encountered and figured out the remedy over time However. The room was large and beautiful. Great bathroom with enormous double shower. Fantastic location -- easy walk to the train station, the Duomo, the Bargello, the Uffizi and the Ponte Vecchio. Surrounded by great high end shopping if that's your thing: Hermes, Prada, Ferragamo, etc. The desk attendants were helpful and friendly. The immediate area was a bit quieter and more relaxed than some of the very touristy areas (such as the Duomo.) I would highly recommend this if you want to be in the middle of the historic district of Florence.
