Room was very dirty, dust all through hotel room, microwave dirty,carpet wasn’t vacuumed , shower has mold, sink and shower had soap scum and left over used soap in shower, bottom of mattress pad had some sort of brown stuff on it, toothpaste on Murrow. The only thing that was clean was the refrigerator. I had to whip down a lot before even using. It made me second quest even if the sheets were changed I had to pull the whole bed apart to check .I would never stay in this Hotel again! The Staff who cleaned was Rokie I’m pretty sure. He needs to be retrained ex on the expectations of cleanliness .

Staff friendly, Room appeared clean until I pulled down the blanket and there were 2 long black hairs. I hope it was the housekeeper when changing the bed. We have stayed here before and will stay again. Everything else was clean. The ice machine in the hall was very loud all night, might need repairs because the motor was loud.

Good spot for a one night stay

Overall, I had a pleasant one-night stay here. I was initially hesitant, but the recent room renovations have done a great job of modernizing a very old hotel, and the room itself was comfortable. ​However, I have a few suggestions that could significantly enhance the guest experience: ​Cleaning Products: The scent of the cleaning products was extremely strong, which detracted from the room's freshness. I recommend exploring an alternative product that is still highly effective but has a milder, less clinical fragrance. ​Ice Machine Placement: The current location of the ice machine near the entrance of some rooms poses a significant noise issue late at night. Relocating the machine to a less disruptive area would greatly benefit guests trying to sleep, particularly those in the adjacent rooms. ​Guest Noise: I noticed a lack of awareness from some guests regarding noise levels in the evening. I would encourage the hotel to post gentle reminders about maintaining quiet in shared spaces after 10:00 PM (e.g., being mindful of loud talking and door-slamming and Thomping on the floor) to ensure a peaceful environment for all.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. The rooms were clean and staff were friendly and kind. The hotel is located in the center of Florence making it easy to access different places. Breakfast was served from 6:30am till 9:30am which we believed to be a bit early, most hotels offer breakfast until 10-10:30am. Anyway we couldn’t really sleep in. Overall we enjoyed our stay and exploring Florence overall.
