Our stay at the Adobe was lovely. The property is right on the ocean with great dining options. Our room was over and above what we expected. Great value on the Oregon Coast.

This is obviously an old property that's been renovated. The furnishings inside the rooms are nice. I didn't really care for the color of the carpet, it makes it look dirty when I doubt that it is. The same is true of the carpets in public hallways and in the elevator. I realize it gets a ton of traffic due to the proximity to the ocean, but I do think a little sprucing up of the carpets would be nice.

Significant lack of maintenance

While the room offered a great view, the overall condition did not meet expectations based on the photos, which were somewhat misleading. The toilet seat was worn, the baseboard heater was rusted, and chairs were placed directly against it—potentially as a way to hide the damage—which raised safety concerns. The shower and walls showed signs of several repairs that had not been properly finished or painted over. Additionally, the pool was out of order during our stay, which was disappointing.

Rusty metal can harbor bacteria like Clostridium tetani, which causes tetanus. It doesn’t take much of a cut to get infected if the metal's been exposed to dirt, moisture, or other contaminants.

Would you want to sit on this toilet seat. Is this what you would expect in a hotel.

Look at all the repairs on this floor of the shower.

This had cloth chairs up against the baseboard heater. Very dangerous. Probably to cover this up.

We liked the seclusion of the property, our room was nice and quiet. The king sized bed was very comfortable. The food was very delicious. We ordered online from our room and the food was ready in 20 minutes. The staff always had a smile when helping us. I would recommend the Adobe resort to anyone who wants a recommendation on where to stay.

View from our room was exactly like the photo on expedia.

Jacuzzi tub was amazing while looking out at the beach.

The front desk people and the manager Anthony, we're very accommodating. Anthony has always been very responsive to anything that we need when we visit the Adobe. We love the Adobe because of that.

The view of the ocean from my room was incredible and so nice to fall asleep to the sound of the sea. I was a solo traveler and was treated nicely from the friendly staff in the bar dining area. Accommodating and friendly and did not make me feel like an inconvenience. Handy parking options, a trail along the ocean front. I felt safe and comfortable at all times.

I don’t like the parking situation, the room looked onto the parking lot, the toilet paper holder broken, noisy indoor corridors, had to call to get tv to work, no place for wet wash cloth in vanity area, nowhere to hang clothes in shower room, nowhere to put toiletries in bath tub, didn’t know how dual shower head worked. Generally older property, with wear and tear.

Rattlesnake bartender; poor room conditions

Room didn’t have enough towels/washcloths; requested additional from front desk and was told would be delivered (they weren’t). I survived regardless. Secondly, the toilet seat was split/broken. It was cracked completely through on one side (pinched the left leg several times). This wasn’t a new break, either…it had obviously been that way for a while and just wasn’t replaced. You look at that and just shake your head, then lean to one side while taking a dump. Third, one of the bartenders does NOT like anyone not from Yachats and is vocal about it. She was probably the one also in charge of replacing toilet seats and towels.

While it wasn't a hot weekend it would've been nice to have a better fan for the room to help circulate (the one we had was a little rickety and didn't really do much, it was also really dusty. No A/C for the rooms) The window also didn't have a screen on it? So that was a bit weird. I would've loved to have been able to keep the window open all day. Otherwise it was a nice stay, bed was comfortable, layout of the room was cute. Staff was fine. While the restaurant was pricey the food was good and I would eat there again, would skip on the coffee options though.

I really like the spacious grounds and walking path behind the facility. So great for folks with dogs! All staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was also spacious and had a nice large, reading chair, ample counter space and upgraded bathroom. The carpeting in the rooms and hallways definitely need upgrading.
