Because Tenaya Lodge is a rural location guests should call the hotel if they need additional directions or information on how to get to the hotel. During winter months, chains may be necessary, even for four-wheel-drive vehicles.

Bears inhabit this area. Do not leave food or beverages (including water) in vehicles and heed all other warnings issued by the lodge.

Guests driving to the property should be aware of seasonal road closures. Hwy 120 (Tioga Pass) closes October through late June, restricting east-to-west travel across the park. Yosemite's eastern gate and Tuolumne Meadows are not accessible when Tioga Pass is closed. Guests are advised to check local weather and road conditions/closures with the California Department of Transportation before travel.

We enjoyed our cabin. In the off season, note that the restaurants consolidate and only open 1 location with a variety of options. Nice outdoor pool. Nice indoor hot tub. Friendly and helpful staff. Don’t expect pickleball courts. They are being constructed. Wasn’t very busy in September.

Excellent hotel, and I recommend staying in the lodge versus the cottages if you want to avoid the longer walks to and from the amenities. The fires were wonderful, pick up s’more lots by the front desk and this is a perfect spot for families and multiple generations. We were a couple in our late 50s traveling alone and still cross paths with several similar travels, but this is a highly recommended location for families

We LOVED Tenaya. We had 3 nights here and wish it was longer. The room is huge, coffee machine amenities, toiletries in the room. The smores station was a big hit for us too! We just wish there was more takeaway food options, we had 2 pepperoni pizzas as we wanted something quick and easy after long days in Yosemite, we didn’t fancy the bar.
