Because Tenaya Lodge is a rural location guests should call the hotel if they need additional directions or information on how to get to the hotel. During winter months, chains may be necessary, even for four-wheel-drive vehicles.

Bears inhabit this area. Do not leave food or beverages (including water) in vehicles and heed all other warnings issued by the lodge.

Guests driving to the property should be aware of seasonal road closures. Hwy 120 (Tioga Pass) closes October through late June, restricting east-to-west travel across the park. Yosemite's eastern gate and Tuolumne Meadows are not accessible when Tioga Pass is closed. Guests are advised to check local weather and road conditions/closures with the California Department of Transportation before travel.

The property is beautiful. However, the mattresses in our room were extremely uncomfortable and needed to be replaced. We left a day earlier than we originally planned.

We had a very nice stay at Tenaya Lodge. Check in was easy, our room was clean and spacious, and the amenities were nice. We ate our meals at the hotel including breakfast and dinner. The service was excellent. Room for improvement would be in the quality food. Both nights our dinners were not even warm, preferred hot and our beef short ribs were tough.

lodge minutes from the Mariposa grove Yosemite NP entrance. We got a cottage for two nights. The cottage is extremely small for 2 queens. We were 2 adults and 2 children and felt quite cramped. I think 4 adults would be very challenging. The bathroom is also very small. We spent time in the pool which was nice but not heated even for indoor cold pool water in oct is not pleasant. Overall the lodge is a little dated but good for the location.

Staff was wonderful and the restaurant was great and very cozy but the rooms we found were not up to the $350 you pay tonight. The carpet was worn the bed linen was not very luxurious. The comforters was super thin and the bed had indentations in The side I slept them. The hallways and the common indoor areas were very worn and needed an upgrade. The area around the reception was beautiful, but it feels like the hotel rooms were upgraded somewhat, but not totally, and the common areas were not and seemed Very tired.

Everything was great until I had Caesar salad with lunch, which I found to be falsely advertised. It had no Romain lettuce in it and was a concoction of brussels sprouts, broccoli and kale.

We stayed in the cottage which we felt was misleading. The cottage was actually just one of 3 rooms squeezed into a house. There is no soundproofing at all, and we were awoken multiple times by the family upstairs as their footsteps and screeching were so loud in our room. We had further issues which were mentioned to the staff during checkout but they clearly did not care one bit. For the price of this stay, I would’ve expected better.

We are not pet people. There were other patrons that had dogs there. But the place was kept so well that even my wife who is allergic to dogs was not having an issue.

Lovely stay, enjoyed having the restaurants to come back to after days spent in the park. The attendants outside in the evening were so attentive and ended up changing out our fire pit gas can every night like it was their favorite thing to do. Very friendly and engaging. Only thing that didn’t work out was housekeeping. We asked to have our room attended to every day and never got service. The housekeepers were hustling in the hall the entire day but wouldn’t get to our room until evening time, when we were ready to turn it. We ended up just trading in towels and calling it good. Perhaps housekeeping is understaffed?? They seemed relieved when we said we’d just take new towels and they could skip our room.

The staff went above and beyond to make it a memorable stay! From Carla at Concierge, Bobby and Michael, the very thorough and fast Bellman, Anthony, the very talented Bartender…everyone made our trip extremely special. The view from the balcony was amazing! We will back every chance we get! Thank you!!!!

This is our second time staying here. We love how close it is to Yosemite, but we also love how warm, inviting and peaceful it was for us to spend time walking around the resort. Our only minor complaint is we wish our room on the 1st floor patio had blackout shades to block out the parking lot lights, but other than that we very much enjoyed our visit to Tenaya and would stay here again for our next trip! We especially loved the fire pit and making s'mores!
