I can tell that this hotel has all the potential but just doesn’t seem to have any of the recent love and maintenance seemingly since it was bought from Hampton. Cracking caulk, lack of screens on doors and windows to allow me to listen to the ocean overnight, ac units that were struggling to keep up, and lots of small disrepair. My kids didn’t appreciate not having any cable channels because the in room tv got very poor internet signal. I’d stay there again and I appreciated the friendly pet policy just seems like the employees and owners could take more pride in this beautiful property by taking care of it. Staff was friendly enough but nothing special.

Awesome location. Outdated and mismatched decor. Many broken lights and ceiling tiles. Walking on the balcony felt like it might collapse underneath. This place has so much potential but looks like it hasn’t been tended to and slowly dying. Ate fish and chips in the restaurant and that was some of the best I’ve had. Excellent service in the restaurant and when checking in. Staff was most helpful. Fairly quiet at night and the bed was comfortable . Coffee in the room was pretty awful.

Close to the Redwood Park, which is great. Setting on the ocean is very nice. But they are understaffed. Restaurant did not open for breakfast on time. Only one waitress at night, very hectic. Food was average.

The hotel is in a prime location, right on the beach with breathtaking views. The property itself looks like someone gave up on it. It looks like the last renovations or update occurred in the 90s. The whole hotel is dated with a need of a good cleaning. The doors between rooms are so thin that I heard EVERYTHING happening in the next room’s restroom.

Check in was fast. I’ll give them that.The property is just kind of run down. But the biggest issue I have with this place is the noise. The door from the stairway into the hallway was so loud. It would slam and wake up the whole family. We maybe got two hours of sleep. Never staying here again.

Although the location is close to the beach the place is dirty smelly and staff are not courteous. Bathroom is dirty. Was trying to open window to get rid of the bad smell in the room and window would not open. Staff came and with difficulty were able to open it but there is no screen. So I get to pick bad smell vs bugs. DO NOT COME HERE. Pay a little extra and stay at a better place.

Not what it used to be

While it is on the beach, be prepared for the rundowned facility. The front staff asked me twice what service my service dog performed. Very rude to ask in front of others, and against the law. The pool was freezing, hot tub jets were broken, sauna did not get hot, and the entire area smelled like propane! Breakfast is not free, nor worth paying for. There was a gentleman who hung around the front desk, with his small yappy dog standing up on the check in counter. They also allowed a Boxer dog to roam around, both usually without leashes. Balcony is small and cramped, with a high railing making it difficult to see the beauty without ducking under the railing. I have stayed here 3 other times and sadly have watched it steadily decline. Will not be back again after this experience.
