Nice place to stay. Like most motels air conditioner, heater was loud in room and from another room. Not a huge issue for me. Updated and very clean otherwise. I would stay there again in future.

Not the best stay

When we arrived the room was dirty floors not vacuumed, bed not made and it smelled like urine. They had a kiosk that you virtually talked to someone not a face to face person. We told her our concerns and she said if we come back in an hour she'd have it cleaned. Okay that's fine. We came back it was cleaned, but still smelled like urine only now it was fruity urine, not pleasant There was a huge bathtub that was very slippery and no bath matt

The room was very spacious and clean, staff was friendly and helpful, very welcoming! The only thing that could have made the stay better would be a better breakfast selection, at the very least some more fruit options and add some yogurt, dry cereals and milk and juice.

Very impersonal , no real person at the front desk for checkin. After the video kiosk checkin, We needed help and could not find any staff until at last a very nice housekeeping woman tried to help. Bad experience checking in, cold.

Okay for one night.

The stay at Anchor Bay was ok. I did not like the virtual check in lacked human interaction and suggested places to visit around town. The power went off every hour all night so all the alarms and appliances had to reset making a lot of noises. With the power issues and not so comfortable mattress we actually just got up and left early. The plus side is that it is clean and very close to the beach. We did enjoy keeping the window open and listening to the sea lions behind the motel.

There is no one on site. All communication was via a zoom setup in the “lobby.” The breakfast was worse than minimal. The beds were uncomfortable.

Very comfy bed. Quiet property. Just across from the beach. Not really walkable to downtown but only minutes by car. Easy check-in. Laundry facilities on site. Be sure to visit Sea Quest Brewery and their sister business, Sea Front Bakery. Best food of our trip. Favorites activities: Forest Moon Festival, an annual local tribute to Return of the Jedi movie which was filmed in the area. Also Light house is definitely worth a visit but check out their schedule on Facebook cause access depends on the tides. Prairie Creek and Jedediah Smith Redwoods are world class parks.

Having the option for multiple beds when traveling with teens is a bonus. Great access to the beach! Downside, the tub didn't drain well and the power kicked off and on all night.

We really liked this motel. The room was clean, the view was great, and there were plenty of eating choices nearby. The laundry was half out of order and the breakfast options were mostly sugar overload.

First time checking in with a kiosk. A little strange. Didn’t ask if I wanted upstairs or down, just gave me a room. Have traveled with someone who couldn’t do stairs before if that had been the case, would have been a problem. Advertise have EV hookups. They do, but cost 20 dollars to use. Have a plug in hybrid, only has a small battery. Might have used 2 dollars in electricity. Room exceptionally clean, bed very hard. Overall a good stay, great for the price point.
