Extremely Disappointing Experience – A Complete Breakdown in Communication This was one of the most frustrating and disappointing booking experiences I’ve ever encountered. Despite having a confirmed reservation through Expedia for two rooms—complete with itinerary and confirmation number—the hotel had only one room on record upon our arrival. This forced us to pay out-of-pocket for an additional room immediately, just to ensure everyone had a place to stay. What made matters worse was Expedia’s handling of the situation. I spent nearly an hour negotiating with their representative, who was not only unhelpful but at one point insisted that we should absorb the cost difference—even though the entire issue stemmed from their own system error and miscommunication with the hotel. Only after escalating the case to the Resolution Department did a manager finally authorize a full refund, including the price difference for the second room. But by then, valuable time had been wasted, and the entire experience left us deeply disappointed and frustrated. For a platform that markets itself as reliable, this level of service and accountability is unacceptable. This incident has seriously affected my trust in Expedia, and I would urge the company to take full responsibility for ensuring coordination with partner hotels in the future.

Cons!The room was very dated carpet was worn going on deck. Completely worn out on the deck needs replacement immediately bathroom shower was really dark. There was no hot tub which I was looking forward too using but. Breakfast was good but it was the same for the first two days then I didn’t bother cause I was tired of it. Pros Lots of parking it’s great for kids the water slides were used all the time. The R kitchen was quite good. Food was good.

The breakfast buffet was a good value to be included in the room fee. Didn’t love that we couldn’t have our animals in the upgraded suite with bedroom.

Nice stop in medicine hat

I stayed here for one night. Traveling for work. Really felt nice to be in a different hotel after 2 months on the road. Beds were super comfy and room was very spacious. Beautiful trail to run just one km away from the hotel. Staff was nice, everyone I passed by said a friendly hello.

Tv old, with old school menu. Very few pillows. Says sleeps 5 but only 2 queen beds? Walls doors, bathroom have not been updated since the 90s and have major wear and tear. It looks like the entrance door has been pried into by police maybe or a burgler. Tiny mini fridge. 1 tiny shampoo and conditioner for 5 people, going to have to pick up more from the store. Have AC blasting yet it still feels hot. Kids are loving the waterside but it looks like the pool area is in really bad shape (moldy, filled in hot tub) Glad they have updated flooring to laminate being as it is a poolside room. Wouldn't pay this price again ($200) on a Thursday. IMO this is a $90 room.
