Room was fit for purpose, dining in the bistro was very average. Would we recommend eating there. No it was pretty average food and poor service to be honest. The pool and hot tub was a great addition. Would we stay again? Yes but would sort out other arrangements for dinner.

Great Price and the River across the street is a bonus. We had 5 people so we got the room that had 2 beds and one pull out. The pull out bed was extremely uncomfortable. you could feel the springs just digging into your body. It was soo uncomfortable we put it back and just slept on the couch instead.

This property is a beautiful 20 minute drive from the Park entrance. It is a wonderful location across the highway from the Merced River. The property is aging and there is much deferred maintenance. The amenities are sparse. Two large urns (coffee and water) are in in the front lobby with packets of sugar and powdered creamer as the only nod to hospitality. The lobby from 0630 to 0730 is shared with motel staff as they have a cup before going about that their duties. There is a restaurant on the property but it had not yet opened for the season. The kitchen did have a egg muffins for purchase. There is a bar that has some food for purchase at night but we did not get a chance to visit. Our room was quiet and clean but dated. The bright spot was the mini fridge, it was cold and the freezer space kept our freezer packs frozen. We were provided two sets of towels but no washcloths. The bathroom sink had been painted with a porcelain type paint in an attempt to update it but the effect is to show how shabby the job was done. The caulking around the sink and surround were also in need of repair. There was also a 2 foot crack in the ceiling above the shower. The water intrusion in this area has caused the paint to peel. There was a sizeable contingent of works on the property doing maintenance and repairs but they have a lot to accomplish.

This is an older motel. The AC was a wall installed type and blows the curtains out and the air to the window. The door didn’t close tightly at the bottom and allowed light from outside to flood the room. I like a very dark room for sleeping and it wasn’t. The shower faucet was a single valve type and was difficult to get to the warm temp, it was either too hot or too cold. The young lady that checked us in after a long drive from Sacramento and a fight in was curtious but not friendly. Felt like she was unconcerned and ready to go home. This was pre regular season. But we were close to Yosemite which was why we came.

Close to park entrance. Not many eating places. We were thankful for a pizza place, bar/grill type restaurant and a mini market that were close. Rooms were clean. Appreciated the mini fridge and coffee maker. Would be extra nice to have a microwave.
