There’s no air conditioning on this property! The description doesn’t say specifically that it is absent, it just doesn’t mention it at all. Noisy!!! There is a small church next door and the bell starts tolling at 5:45 AM every day!!! The parking is horrible, better rent a compact car because you will have to maneuver through medieval street. Dirt everywhere!!! The apartment was dirty, I had to remove public hair from toilet! The tiny fridge has not been cleaned since 1990, seems like. Bring deodorant and own shampoo. Only hand soap and two old small towels were provided. Shower is very uncomfortable and hot water lasts 3-4 minutes. Dishonest owners: We could not remain in these conditions but the owner refused to reimburse us for the balance of the remaining nights. If you value your vacation time, please stay away from this horrible place and these lying nasty owners!

Highest level of hospitality by an excellent host. Very friendly and helpful with instructions for everything we needed. The property was very good and very well connected with the old town. Strongly recommend to anyone!

Great time after scary start

My partner and I travelled to Dubrovnik for the first time only to find our accommodation had been double booked leaving us nowhere to stay. We sat in the garden in disbelief for an hour on hold to Hotels.com as we were eaten alive by mosquitos. As the sun set, the hopeless scenario we found ourselves in was all too apparent for the owner of the accommodation, who asked her neighbour let us stay in her house for the night for €60. NOT the start we wanted. After a total of 2.5 hours on hold, Hotels.com then booked us another apartment closer to Lapad, covering the cost entirely. There we were met Ivica and Marija and our holiday finally began! They were so welcoming, allowing us to put our bags in their apartment so we didn’t have to take them to the beach. They advised us about great places to eat, islands to visit (although we already had an island day planned it just made it all the more exciting). We took their advice and ate at a pizzeria called Scala a few times, and used the kitchen for some home-cooked meals and made food to take with us on our adventures to Lokrum and beach days. The bed was really comfortable, and the location of the apartment was great: 5 minutes from Splendid and Lapad, 5 minutes to a Tommy supermarket as well. An Uber to Old Town took ~10 minutes, 35 min walk. We had a really great time, I would urge anyone to stay here.
