I had messed up my reservation through Expedia. I contacted Expedia to help in correcting it. The agent told me they contacted the hotel and all was now good. When I got to the hotel, the attendant said Expedia had not contacted them, I had been charged for the incorrect reservation and now had to book again for a second night. They couldn’t help me with the incorrect booking since it had already been paid.
The Expedia agent simply lied to me and had not resolved anything with the hotel. In future, I’ll use Expedia to search but when I find what I need, I’ll book it directly. Can’t trust Expedia to help.
Lying is simply unacceptable!!!
