Great location and rental, and good response times when we had questions. It had everything we needed and we had a great time - we'd stay again. We did have trouble getting through the gate out to the beach with the code provided, as well as trouble closing the bathroom door.

Our condo was locatwd directly across from the veach. Perfect location to access the beach quickly. The condo was well equipped to accomodaye us for the entire week. Kitchen was fully stocked, as well as our laundry needs, bathrooms and linens. We were directly across from the pool which was very clean. Great week.

A little aged, but nice property

Upon entering the property, was very pleased. Entered the unit, and walked around and checked it out. Very clean. The back door was unlocked (and was extremely difficult to close. Deadbolt did not work, and had to pull closed a few times in order to lock the knob lock. Two of the blinds in the bunkbed room were broken on the bottom. A/C was very cool, and yet when on it sounds like a tornado. Pool was very nice, no keypad lock, was just shut with a pull up lock. The "Guardhouse" when you pull in was unmanned, entire visit. During the day on Thursday, someone had broken the dark heavy glass in the window of the Guardhouse. No code needed for entry to beach, was open for all to enter. Beach was nice, beach attendants very helpful in locating empty beach chairs and umbrella. Whomever was in 13B (above us) every evening and most of the time during the night, they were stomping constantly on the floor. Woke me up several times throughout the visit. The staircase coming down from 13B had trash and pieces of clothing and washcloths throughout the visit strewn on the steps. The email person did respond back about the door being unlocked, and was appreciative and apologetic about it. Was the only communication during the visit was the smiling person. Checked out this morning, and cleaned the unit very well prior to leaving.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Place was very clean & spacious for my wife and I. Just across the street (scenic 98) from the beach. The only complaint I have, was the poor communication when it came to the check in process. We needed codes to get into our condo, as well as the private beach. It was an ordeal getting those codes.

Last Minute trip to escape Hurricane Helene in NC

Condo was very clean and close enough to come and go from the beach . Loved the beach setup daily, no need to carry chairs and umbrella. Close enough to walk to restaurants as well. Loved the close and easy parking at the condo. Will definitely be back !

Great Stay!

The condo is in a great location and it was awesome having our beach chairs set up for us every day. It’s a short 2 min walk to the beach. Everything was as advertised and they were very responsive if we needed anything. We will be back!

Long Labor Day Weekend Stay

We really enjoyed the stay at Chateau Le Mer. We love it because of the pet friendliness so we can include our 3 Yorkies. Great pool and also a quick 2 minute walk over to the beach or Captain Dave's. Very loud air conditioner and a dirty floor were our only negatives. Thumbs up otherwise.

Good spot with some issues . . .

Chateau Le Mer is convenient to the beach, right across the street from a crosswalk and private access gate. Free beach umbrella/chair sets too! A shower/hose is located outside for washing off on your way back to your unit. The small pool is old school and deep enough to actually swim. The inside of the unit was clean and came with an ample supply of bath towels, toilet paper, dishwasher detergent, and soap. The outside of the unit was NOT that clean. When we arrived, two broken, dirty beach chairs were leaning on the bricks next to our door. There was a candy wrapper on our door mat and cigarette butts and a plastic baggie filled with a yellow liquid in the flower bed. Then we unlocked the door. The owners rented our unit as a 2 bedroom when in actuality, it is a one bedroom with a converted lanai as a “second bedroom.” This second “bedroom” has NO air conditioning vent and lots of thinly shaded windows. Hard to cool. The room is very narrow so the bunk beds are not long enough for an adult over 6ft tall. There is nothing but French doors separating it and the master bedroom. Not much privacy Second, the air conditioning unit is right next to the the master bedroom and sounds like a train when it comes on. LOUD enough to wake up a light sleeper during the night. The bathroom has a narrow, finger-pinching sliding door which loudly bucks in the runner and is very hard to close all the way.
