Have travelled to Bali since 1989 and Sri Phala reminds me of what Bali was like when I first arrived, in every good way. The accomodation is old school Bali, spacious and quiet. I would recommend that villas at the rear of the property, away from the main room, but everywhere in the complex is lovely. Breakfast was fantastic and the staff are so lovely and helpful. Would def stay at Sir Phala again.

Awful check in experience , lack of response which meant I had to call and chase up for a response. The description of the property and the room booked does not reflect the actual dilapidated state of the prank the room. Broken items in the room, dirty and stained finishes, disgusting and filthy shower curtain. The shower leaked all over the bathroom floor so not sure of the point f the curtain. The staff were polite but no action really to rectify the situation, the room we had should not actually be let out due to the numerous shortcomings. I leaflet in the room stated how we should not break anything or stain linen to provide a fresh look. The pictures of the room we stayed in provide a completely different picture. Some rooms like ours had 2 flights of tricky narrow staircase to climb with suitcases , this should made clear in the room description. A awful stay in a resort which needs a full overall to advertise as a 4 star.

The staff make this hotel something special, going out of their way to be helpful and welcoming. The room and grounds are elegant, and the beach and a handful of shops and restaurants are just a minute’s walk. Only downsides were insects in the room, and heavy traffic where Grab drivers seem hesitant to stop.

Room is spacious, but dated. Had a balcony which was fine, but furniture is old. Bathroom ok but nothing fancy, basic. Pools (2) are nice. Location ok, but not in the middle of everything. Which is ok for those who like that. Like indonesia, if its not a big international chain of hotels, then the stars do not reflect what you get. This hotel was rated 4 stars, but i woul rate it 3; 3.5 at the most
