My wife and I loved everything about this place. Absolutely beautiful and the island has its own magic. We definitely plan to return, she actually made me promise her we would come back every year. House is top notch and we couldn't have asked for a better location on the beach. Shout out to our host for being so understanding and helpful with our situation. It definitely made for one of our most memorable trips. Can't wait to plan for next year.

I’ll start by saying we really enjoyed the island. It was the perfect getaway for our group, and a wonderful time away. I don’t, however, think we’d stay at this property again. If you haven’t been to the island before, there’s quite a bit of information you need to know before booking, which wasn’t totally clear until the booking had been secured. The property itself appeared well kept at first glance, and very accurate to the description. After some time, it started to feel more like a “showroom” than a functional living space. (Cabinets that didn’t open, shower curtains held up by duct tape, etc)During our stay, we found food in the bedroom that hadn’t been cleaned up and cockroaches that ended up coming home with us. The pool that’s listed at the property is an HOA pool that costs 20/person per day to use. With the size of our group (8 people), we needed two golf carts. There wasn’t room to charge two golf carts at the same time, which made traveling as a group incredibly difficult. Despite these issues, we had a wonderful time and would recommend visiting the island. I do wish our stay could have lived up to the quality we paid for.

Beautiful home & location. Quick beach access. Great communication. Daufuskie is our favorite and will continue to be a yearly trip. Only recommendations to the host I could recommend are - updating mattresses (we could feel the springs) & better hot water (we had cold showers) - we would still stay again!
