Great location, but overall the stay had several issues. The home felt older and not well maintained- furniture was worn, the water in the hot tub and pool was not clean and we noticed odd white stains on the bedding.The biggest problem was a persistent alarm noise. It went off for extended periods twice during our 2 night stay (up to 55 minutes nonstop loud alarm late at night). We contacted the host several times and were instructed to remove batteries from multiple devices, which required carrying a ladder around and removing batteries from about 7-8 units across the house. The issue continued until we eventually identified the carbon monoxide alarm as the source. This raised safety concerns, and no one was sent to assist- we had to handle it ourselves.We were traveling with young kids, so this was especially stressful. There was also a clogging issue with the master bathroom toilet.The host did offer a late checkout, but it didn’t address the issues during our stay and we declined it. I’d recommend improving maintenance, cleanliness, and ensuring all alarms are checked before guests arrive.
