The staff at reception were efficient, helpful & friendly. The staff including Donna our restaurant reception person and waiter was extremely friendly, very efficient & experienced in making our evening in the restaurant so very special. Tash and kitchen staff made us a delicious meal, we thanked them all after we finished our meal on the way out. The room was clean and spacious, it also included a microwave, jug, toaster, spoon, mugs and glasses. Tea and coffee were supplied, and Arnott's biscuits, a wonderful inclusion, not available at many other hotels/motels in Australia generally these days.
A few negatives, carpet needs replacing, tiles were on elsewhere in the room, nice balcony with distant ocean and airport viewing. Only downside was people smoking on their balcony below, so we had to retire to the room, and shut the balcony door. We would recommend the owners ban smoking on balconies and allocate a smoking area away from rooms, restaurant and pool areas. Continual large truck traffic noise was also a negative, they were using compression braking that as far as we are aware is banned in built up areas.
Overall, we would recommend staying there, the positives far outweigh the negatives, we will stay again in our travels.
