Absolutely love this place! I would rather stay here over a hotel, even if the prices were close. Everything you can want and more and the host are exceptional.

A cozy pod, much better than your regular bunk bed. The noise from the bar was manageable. The property has a little sauna, but it closes at 10pm so I didn't have a chance to try it

I really liked the layout of the room. Even though there were 8 people sharing it, it still felt surprisingly private.

4/10 Poor

Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities
If you want a place that's has cheap beds and cold beer then the Elk River lodge is the place for you... that is if you only care about those two things. There is no air conditioning so on a hot July evening your room will feel like a sauna with only a paltry oscillating fan for cooling. Beds are okay but sheets are stained from pass usage, along with bars of soap left inside of shower from previous occupant. Also instead of fixing the ledge where the soap should sit when showering the "maintenance " staff has duct taped the ledge in order to hold it together. So to sum it up... the rooms are cheap for a reason. Terrible place to bring children but if you are a bunch of ski bums wanting to save money and get drunk it's perfect
