Overall, just ok.

Good: Comfortable Bed, Breakfast was good. Needs Improvement: Parking for upper building is bad. If you are there after sunset, you will be parking before and walking to to your room. Reservation for handicap accessible room was not available when guest arrived. This caused two out of the three in our group to move to another hotel (which was horrible condition) Back door to the upper building doesn't lock. A/C unit is incredibly loud. Walks are paper thin, you can hear everything. Remodeled but old furniture still in use. Exhaust fan in bathroom is not secure.

Pluses + Front desk woman was wonderful, other staff nice in my limited interactions. + Cheapest rate in town (at the time/last moment booking) + Comfortable bed + Clean where it counts Negatives - While the obvious things are cleaned well daily, other spots one may not intuitively think to look.. found some disgusting stuff. - Was woken up by cleaning staff at 9am.. i had a very late flight so I was trying to sleep until the last moment. After I'd nearly fallen back asleep I woke up to the sounds of a window cleaner slamming a squeegee against my (basement room) window. :P - Dark corridor, not scary, but leaves a "oh, this is where I'm at" impression, if other aspects of the exterior didn't already do it for you. Rating. As a place to spend your vacation: 3.5/10 If you're being thrifty and still want a shower for one day: 8/10. You're not going to love it, but you're not going to wish you went elsewhere if you're there for utility.

Strange Smell but Clean

As you would expect from a Quality Inn - there was an awful sewer smell as you entered the room but you couldn't smell it until you left again! The room was clean and quiet, except the metal bed that made an awful sound everytime someone moved. Check in was friendly and efficient, breakfast had hot options.

Above average hotel stay.

Great staff and rooms. The shower had the best pressure I have seen in a hotel in ages. The breakfast was outstanding. I will definitely stay here again when passing through Cortez, CO.
