I’m completely upset with what happened to me at this hotel to say the least. If there was a choice of a 0 that would be my rating. I booked with Expedia to this hotel a month ago. I completely paid for both of the nights. I couldn’t show up the first night because my aunt is in the hospital and I had to rebook my flight and I didn’t have the chance to call and let Towneplace and suites know I wouldn’t be coming the first night. Honestly knowing I paid in advance and not being able to get anything back for the first night was completely fine. But when I showed up to check in the next day to be able to stay for my other night - again that was fully paid for - the receptionist said because I didn’t call the night before and check in that I wasn’t able to stay there at all. Only because I didn’t check in the night before?! Unbelievable! It shouldn’t matter if or when I call in at all. If I fully paid for two nights and show up to stay the second night. That’s still my hotel room! In the hotel’s defense they said it all falls on Expedia because that’s their policy. Even though they want to throw the blame on Expedia they still could have helped me in some way. I’m completely appalled and will never have anything to do with Towneplace suites and Marriot ever again! I feel like I got robbed! This was unacceptable in every way! The complaint doesn’t stop here. Everyone will know about this before they choose to stay at any Towneplace suites and Marriot that’s affiliated with them.
