Sitting on a third of an acre, with a full canopy of wind swept oak trees in the back yard, the Sunshine Cottage provides ample space for you and your family to enjoy the beautiful coastal outdoors during your stay.

With a five minute walk to Little bay, Rockport Festival Grounds and the Certified Blue Wave public beach. You won't find a better location to all this beautiful city has to offer.

The house is well equipped with everything you need to make your stay perfect. We are a family owned property, so we have it stocked with all the little things that are missing from corporate rentals.

LIVING AREA

The living area is outfitted with brand new sofas and chairs and a 65” 4k flat-screen TV. It also has a full sized Euro-Lounger for sleeping accommodation.

KITCHEN & DINING

The Kitchen is equipped with brand new appliances and ample counter space to accommodate preparation of meals for your entire group. The house features plenty of high end cooking supplies and dining wear. Dish towels, dish soap, dishwasher pods and paper towels are also provided.
For our coffee lovers; coffee grinder, milk frother, large french press and automatic drip coffee maker.
The house has an open dining area with a table for eight. There is also counter seating for 3.
On the back patio, there is a large dining table with seating for 8. The large oak trees in the backyard provide ample shade for outside dining. Charcoal BBQ also located out back.

BED & BATH

The master bedroom has a King-size bed with hotel-quality linens. The second bedroom is configured with a King sized bed as well.
The third bedroom has two twin sized bed and has two roll out mats available in the closet.

The Mater bathroom has a large walk in shower and the second bathroom has a tub. Both baths have an ample supply of plush towels.

EXTRA PERKS & MORE DETAILS

Guest amenities include complimentary high speed Wi-Fi, large capacity washer/dryer. Soft water plumbing for showering.

To help make your packing easier, beach convenience items such as beach towels, chairs, wagon, ice chest and boogie boards are also provided.

For our families with little ones, we have a pack and play, baby monitor and dining table high seat.

Parking is available for three cars in the driveway. There is also street parking if needed.

The convenient location on Patton Street is only a five minute walk to the fairgrounds, Rockport public beach and the heart of downtown.

Located a block from Little Bay, you can walk or drive the 0.4 miles to Rockport Beach.

Enriching attractions within walking distance include the Aquarium at Rockport Harbor (0.5 miles), the Texas Maritime Museum (0.4 miles), and The History Center for Aransas County (0.3 miles).

Roger communicated everything well and answered questions quickly. Check in was simple and house was ready when we arrived. Kitchen was stocked with everything but the food. There were plenty of towels and washcloths, cleaning items were available. Beach items (towels, wagon, kids toys, chairs) were supplied. Check out was simple, basic cleanup , leave dirty linens out, run the dishwasher. Absolutely loved the house and could easily see 2 sets of adults and 2-4 kids staying here. The only reason we wouldn't stay here again is that the local beach is perfect for families with young children, shallow with small, if any, waves. My wife want's to listen to the waves so in the future we will probably stay in Port Aransas.

Sunshine Cottage Rockport TX

Great location, close to the Rockport & Aransas beaches & Corpus Christie. We enjoyed both beaches & The Texas State Aquarium. The Sunshine Cottage was our home away from home for a week. We crafted, played games, & loved our time there as a family.

Great house!

We loved this house and will definitely be back. Location is great for fishing, shopping, and more. Only complaint would be that the fridge and freezer smell “fishy” but I guess that’s to be expected in a fishing town. I bought baking soda to try to freshen it up but no luck.

This place was perfect! The host thought of everything! Literally! Beach toys, towels, chairs, gear - all available so no need to waste car space bringing your own. So many games for kids of all ages. Plenty of kitchen gadgets, large dining table, lots of seating, soft towels…. The location was perfect also. I can’t wait to visit again!

We really enjoyed the property. The location was very convenient - close to Rockport beach, restaurants and various other attractions. The house was cheery and clean with a well organized kitchen and lots of beach stuff, including umbrella, chairs, towels, toys and boogie boards. Great property for kids!! Great property

I stayed with my husband and two small kiddos. It had everything we may want to make it a comfortable stay. They even had two white noise machines for the kiddos and a booster for the chair. The host was very responsive to all my questions and I would definitely recommend this place to a friend.

Perfect peaceful property

This is the closest location to the beach we have stayed yet. The house was nicely decorated, and had plenty of room, considering my parents stayed as well. Our boys enjoyed the backyard activities, including washers, football, & the obstacle rope. The entire family had a blast. 10/10 would stay again!

Everything was great Cottage located in an area close to everything Plenty of space inside and beautiful outdoor Because it was a girls getaway our only complaint was no curtains on back door since property not fenced off felt someone could walk on property and we could be seen while sitting at dining table and walking around at night but other than that I would recommend the Cottage to others

Marvelous Vacation Home and Location

We could not have been more pleased with the condition, floor plan, amenities and location of this wonderfully kept home! We enjoyed exploring all that Aransas County had to offer. We could not have had better hosts than Roger and Rene. They were great at communicating with us and the home had everything we might need for our 17 day stay!

Fantastic location, perfect for families

This home was perfect for our family trip to Rockport! The location is fantastic — it’s a very short drive to the beach, HEB, etc. We really appreciated that the house had kids’ gear, including children’s silverware, beach toys, a small bathroom step stool, and a swing in the back yard. (Our toddler was too young for the jungle gym line in the back yard, but I’m sure bigger kids would love that!) The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed to our cook meals, and the layout worked really well for us. We will definitely return if we have the chance!

Perfect Beach House
