Disliked: Cleanliness
The highs were high and lows were low. In reading the other reviews, they still ring true as little has been improved despite others’ complaints. When we arrived, the check in process was confusing (which after speaking to Martha she said she had tried to rectify this issue by having us use her name at check in—we never saw this information until after the fact. After multiple phone calls, the situation was fixed). When we finally got to our room, it was filthy and had not been cleaned. Martha was very responsive as was the office staff. We were put into another nearby room with compensation for one night and able to move back into this condo the next day. Most of these units are time shares, while this is a VRBO. This was very confusing to the staff that worked there. The room was dated—carpet filthy, burners on stove not working, and even after the unit was cleaned, tables were soiled and hair and dirt remained on the bathroom floor. We were disappointed to find that nothing extra was included—coffee filters, beach chairs, salt and pepper—none of the extras usually found in other VRBOs, which really is a pain when flying and unable to bring these things along. Otherwise, Martha’s quick response with our issues, the views from the balcony, location to everything around us and the price point would still leave us considering staying here again.
